Why do you think that? Just so you know, the difficulty rankings are based on going from latin based languages to latin based. So Obviously learning english from say spanish is easier. But alternatively, learning english for japanese people is not that simple either. While the english alphabet is simpler than Japanese, English has a lot of pitfalls in terms of grammar, tenses, phrasing, pronunciation.
