    Nah..
In Indonesia, if there's someone blatantly doing shit things such as harassing woman, robbery , bullying , etc and get caught in public. No one will stay still and just watching.. those kind of guy would be considered lucky by staying alive from getting beaten up by lot of people.. lol

As an Asian and growing up in a city infamous for its mafia and gangs, I can tell you that in the city, nothing too serious will happen.
But if you go outside the city, the crime rate soars. The underworld rules those part.
The police has dealing with the gangs, so if they keep in line, the police will do nothing to them.
    Though:
-My high school is literally in the city center, and one student got stabbed when he came out of the school gate. Police investigations ensued, turned out it was a case of revenge - the student had nothing to do with it, those gangster mistook him for someone else.
-One classmate of my friend in a different high school got stabbed inside the classroom.
-I went to middle school with a guy whose father runs a casino in China. In 9th grade he dropped out and now lead a gang of street hooligans himself. That guy was wild.
-If you go outside at night (past 10pm) and you look at the wrong guy, you could end up being stabbed to death for "staring at him the wrong way".
The police here knows everyone and everything so if a major crime like a murder happens, they will know and catch who did in in a matter of days.
If anyone is curious I have tons of stories about "shady stuff" to share

Slightly exaggerated. There are some cases but it's not as bad as the novels make it seems to be.

About as dangerous as any other country really. Novels are rarely accurate measures of reality, and it depends on who you are and exactly which areas you enter. So e places change as foreigners move in and out and bring their culture with them, including the family feuds and culture clashes with locals and other foreigners.

If you are going for the first time, try to be in a crowded area that can be visited.
There are instructions for each country, such as not offending a local population, more or less common sense. I would say that Hong Kong is safer than New York and both have areas where a "tourist" should not go without risk, like some junkies with AIDS who are trying to infect you if you do not pay ...
The Dengerus situation was for me on a beach, I say no country, but not in Asia, where two children are about 12-16 years old with a gun went for the money of tourists ...

Edit :Link Is for USA but i still use the information that its give about the country i want to visit.
Just enter the county you want informations about.

Asia is a pretty big region, but when we say Asia, we often mean only East Asia and South East Asia, as Russia's steppe is called Russia, India is called India and Arabia is called Middle East.

Let's break it down by country.

Japan - There are bad people in society, sure, but violent crimes are nearly nonexistent. At most there would be armed robberies (with knives), beatings and rapes. The situation in your example almost never happen unless it was because of a vendetta. Not even the yakuzas during the height of their power would do this. The other possibility would be if they're filming porn, but in that case everyone in the bus and outside the bus would know as they have to apply a permit for public porn filming.

China - Contrary to popular beliefs, it's uncommon for rapes in public places to occur in the major metropolitan cities of China. Public order is generally good in China, though you do get the occasional dumbasses who piss in trashcans or shit on the roadside because why not. Even saw a guy spitting in the train last time. And nobody batted an eyelid. Nobody even cared. There are triads, the Chinese mafia, but unless you open a business in a sketchy neighbourhood, you almost never have to deal with them.

Thailand - Bangkok itself is pretty safe, except for the occasional bombings. Lots of whores, though, and you can never trust those whores to be safe. Better keep a condom on you at any time. Or a knife. If the whores try to take you to a gangster's bar, shank them. Travel to the southern regions is also fine. Unlike what the news say, bombing cases are actually very rare. It's just that when there's a bombing, people in the west goes into an uproar as the media proclaim it Islamic terrorism. In reality Islam is only a very tiny reason, they actually just want to separate from their conqueror.

Filipina - Definitely do not go to the south if this is your first time there. Even in the capital city of Manila, it's quite risky. One moment you can be in a posh and completely safe neighbourhood, the next moment you could be in a dystopian realm where all order has broken down and even the cops would suggest you not to go there as they don't want to have to drag your corpse out of there. That being said, Manila at least is generally safe as long as you stay in tourist areas.

Indonesia - Indonesians are generally fine. However, Indonesia is huge, and many different areas have different customs, dispositions and attitudes, so you may be fine in a place like Jakarta for example but completely unsafe in a place like Pontianak due to the vampires. Some years ago, Ai-chan read news about similar raping in Indonesia, and today, Indonesia is ranked as the second most dangerous country for women in Asia. So if you're a lone woman and unfamiliar with Indonesia, don't go to Indonesia unless you have a necessary business there. https://www.thejakartapost.com/news...us-place-for-women-in-asia-pacific-study.html

Malaysia - Malaysia is a moderate country. There is nothing really bad or really good to talk about. Malaysia is ranked in the middle in almost every ranking you can imagine. There are bad people, and there are corrupt cops, sure, but meeting them is a hit or miss. Ai-chan personally has never met bad people or corrupt cops, despite friends saying they met some. Malaysians are generally lazy, and therefore, they are too lazy to rob you. It is the country that Japanese and South Korean people love the most, and considered as heaven on Earth. In their home country, they'd work until they drop. In Malaysia, they can come late to work and nobody cares. Public safety is pretty much on the same level as Tokyo. You will still find scams and purse snatchers are still around, though.

Singapore - What is there to say? It's so tiny.

I have felt safer in some Chinese cities than I have in some Australian cities. But they are all different. The big, international cities are usually pretty safe

These characters aren't hooligans = they're enablers and their role in the story is to create a conflict so that the protagonist can look good. The crime rates in East Asia tend to be extremely low and countries like Japan are some of the safest in the world. Crime in these places tend to be greatly exaggerated for effect.

You can see the same in places like crime films. For example, the Triad film with tons of gunplay is popular in Hong Kong cinema. But how common are gun crimes in Hong Kong? They only happen once every few years and they make front page news every time it occurs.

Fiction exist for a reason and all places in the World are dangerous. Even us the tiny dust called Earthlings in the great and wide collection galaxies are in danger against Extraterrestrials, asteroids, supernova, blackhole or a flying sword from an upper realm cultivator(lol).

    Asian countries are dangerous?
    Of course they are...
When you step away from the safe zone you will encounter Mohawk gangster every 5 steps. Unless you equipped with necessary materials, you will surely die.
Even babies in my city could shot a Ki Blast or two. So, unless you have Awakened State in your Qi development or at the very least got Second Tier Jobs for RPG-System fellows, you can't step away from the safe zones.

Its more realistic version of dangers. Scam, thief, robbery, and pillaging is a problem around growing country. That is always the case if they don't have anything to eat. Yup, normal. Not that kind of hooligans try to mug a person in market. The hooligan will be mugged by the people in here

Are you talking about the Delhi bus rape case that later came to be known as Nirvaya case? In that case a young woman and her friend boarded an empty bus with only the driver and crew and the windows were covered with curtains. The bus was not going on a specific route, so it didn't stop at any stoppage. An ideal situation for such a heinous crime.

In a crowed bus a serious harrassment and rape can't take place. Not in any place, unless the offenders do it on gun point. In India such cases take place at the time of armed bus or train robberies.

There are instances when foreigners are harrassed by local goons and even in a crowded place none come to their rescue. I had witnessed one such case in a local train. But once I raised voice, others joined and stopped the offenders. Someone has to raise their voice first and others will obviously help.

Great information to those living in the western half of the world. I have often wondered if this hooligan behavior is rampant in Chinese villages and small towns. Thanks for the information.:0
