Discussion How did you stumble upon light novels?

For me, it was 4 years ago when I was searching for manga and someone recommended Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, I can't stop reading it when I finished the first volume at royalroad.
How about you guys?

 

I was watching SAO and writing a commented for the episode and sa0w people taking about it's LN and it lead to discovering outer LNs

 

I met a wandering old man who unexpectedly showed me the dao. He enlightened me to true way (light novels) rather than the things of this world

 

I was on manga cow when at the top he recommends atg and was like what the neck I'm bored enough

 

was reading the madan manga, then i found out it was just a teaser for a light novel like most manga. thus i found this inescapable hole and addiction which is online novels.

 

I was reading a manga, forgot which one then when i tried to search for raws i came across the LN of the manga. Thus on that day, my raison d'etre was founded.

 

Mangas and anime kept mentioning light novels so I was like "The fuck are these things they keep talking about?"
So I searched, came upon LMS, a few years later I dropped it and went on to read Ark and Shield Bro.
(The repetitive, 'I make sculptures, I get better stats, I get stronger.' got to me)

 

Shield bro manga lead to shield bro light novel and then it snowballed from there to my dangerous obsession today. Shield bro is love, Shield bro is life. All hail Shield Bro.

 

"Is there any alternative for this comic/manga/etc" thinking and boom. I found WN af first and it's raw. Using MTL read it and make my head dizzy for a while and looking for translated version.
1st LN is from baka-tsuki ,bored looking another genre, found LMS and ARK. Bored again i tried wuxia and hey this one is interesting and so on till now.

 

watched anime and looked for the series in manga and saw many people saying manga is shit compared to the ln so searched for it and started reading

 

Overlord. Nuf said.

 

I was sad that "campione" anime had only 12 episodes and searching more and then I came across baka-tsuki, from there I didn't look back and finally here I am.

 

Someone on Kissmanga told me to read arifureta

 

Made fun of my cousin for spending all day reading shit on his pc, a year later im addicted xD

 

when infinite stratos anime come out...
thats when i got know the LN world in bakatsuki

 

I think I was reading the manga for Tsuyokute New Saga and was wanted to know what happened next, so I went looking for the Raws and found the LN.

 

But the LN was taken down.

I was an orphan in rural area. then after a dozenyear i met a beautiful girl on my way home. ofcourse i just look at her, i'm not confodent on my self, the girl is walking towards me i cant help but lower my heads. then the girl passed me and when i want to look at her back, she's straing at me, i thought she just gonna passed me but she just stand at my back so i was startled and i cant help my face to be red, i was planning to run but the girl hold my hand and pulled me. after a couple of minutes we are infront of a noble house. the girl just walked and signal me to follow. i'm sitting on a sofa and the girl is infront of me staring. then she pull something on the bag beside her and show it to me. i was hesitating to recieve it but she glared. the thing she gave me is a book, a thick book. after i opened it i was in dazed, the book has no words nor letters. its a blank. then when i want to ask her, i cant find the girl.

well anyway like you when i was searching lms raw manga but theres none so i search lms then a novel shows up

 

I read the manga for Mahouka and can't wait for the next chapter and read the LN.
As for the Douluo Dalu's Manhua lead me to find the world of CN novels
