    They use Lego's and Play-Doh for their explanations. I don't think they can afford a good telescope.

    I'm kinda curious myself actually. They might have an interesting explanation. Although in regards to the telescope, that's easy to explain. What you're seeing is the flat side of that planet. If the Earth could be moved at will and then stopped at a different side of that planet, we'd see the edge.

    Sorta like how the moon.spins just fast enough that one side ( The light side ) stays pointed toward us. We actually need probes to see the dark side...

    Just because it's silly doesn't mean you can't create a fun world from it. I mean, take floating castles as an example. Maybe because it's not real?

    If you want to know why people claim the Earth is flat, just ask yourself: How much attention do you get for saying the Earth is round, and how much do you get for saying the Earth is flat? There's your answer. They're not crazy, they're just attention whores. Arguing with them just gives them what they want.
