I've read first person perspective of people waking up in different ways in many novels. Sometimes they first open their or sometimes they gain proper consciousness before even opening their eyes. I, personally, don't even realise how I wake up. I lay 'awake' for a while in the border of dreams and reality and then suddenly, BAM I'm conscious. I don't even know how I sleep because by the time I wake up, I've already moved around while being half awake.
Depends. If you wake me up in the middle of stage 2 of sleep I might act like a zombie not understanding wtf is going on for a few moments. But if I sleep over 7 hours, I am perfectly aware the moment my alarm wakes me up.
I open my eyes, look at my alarm, cry a little inside as i have to get up early to go to work. Get up, get ready for another tiring day of work. Go back home late, take a shower, go back to sleep, and the cycle repeats itself.
I wake up when my android overlord (literally, my android phone basically dictates my rhythm of the day) wakes me up - meaning, it sounds the alarm, I, often very unwillingly, stop sleeping and lay awake for some 10-15 minutes with my eyes closed until the second alarm goes off
Yes I have a short sense of sanity and line of thought before I open my eyes. I don't think the moment I wake up really matters so eh as long as I wake up I'm not yet dead ig.
I open my eyes. Curse the sun behind the silky curtains of my room. And curse my existence. A very bad way to start a day, yet stress relieving for the likes of me...
Once I heard my alarm ringing, I'd immediately opened my eyes. Or, even before my alarm rings I would wake up wide awake in just a moment, the next thing I know I already get out of my bed
I never wake up... I'm still sleeping... And you all are just a part of my dream Btw whatever you think is planted in your head by me....ʘ‿ʘ
I hear the voice of shotas that awaken me from my slumber no literally this little boy that lives next door to me screams loudly in the morning about random things
I have a habit of constantly oversleeping so I usually wake up in a state of panic. Eyes-shoot-open and wake-up-with-a-gasp type of thing. It's probably kind of creepy to see
If it is too noisy, I slip slowly into the waking state. Usually the alarm rings and I am awake within its first chimes. Whenever I turn the alarm off and go back to sleep, I end up waking up like 3hrs later because I regret oversleeping and messing up my schedule. In those times, I just open my eyes, already wide awake with regret instantly setting in.
I was already awake before i open my eyes. These days it's because my cat i woke up early. Cat is dusk walker he'd ask to be let out so he can play outside and probably hunt some bird.
