So, I havent heard anything specific regarding animals being affected except possible one dog. However, as COVID sweeps the world I highly doubt that humans will be the only species affected.

Like if cows die/infected of COVID will it be safe to eat?

What have you read and what do you think?

I saw that video of the monkeys going on a rampage in the popular tourist destination where they've always been getting food from tourists. Quite violent, those monkeys.

It's not something you should worry about.
As far as i know that dog was not actualy sick, but simply carrying the virus. You should be more worried of geting infected by stroking the animals, instead of the animals geting sick themself.
Regarding the food, from the time taken for the food to be slaugtered, to arriving in your kitchen, the virus should be dead. I belive it's more likely to be infected by the virus through some of it staying on the plastic wraping than the actual food.

The reason that you haven't heard of any other news is because cross species spread isn't all that common in the grand scheme of things. That one dog was a rare case.

But, if it does spread to cows and such it will be treated as any other disease if it kills livestock and the animals should be disposed of without consuming them (eating infected flesh is the easiest way to spread cross species). If you live in most countries you wouldn't need to even worry about coming into contact with the meat if that happened since most countries have strict safety policies that regulate the meats and other food that makes it to market.

As for how the animals are doing, as is always the case when people aren't around the animals are taking it back over. Coyotes in San Francisco, deer in London, and warthogs in Rome are just some of the more well known cases.

It doesn't. The dog was not infected. They did find nCov inside the dog's mouth, but that's it. They theorized that the dog probably licked its infected owner's hand which was covered in the virus. So far there is no evidence that nCov can infect pets yet.

Also, nCov is killed by high temperature. Studies showed that the SARS coronavirus can be killed at 56 degrees Celsius. So if you deep fry your food or boil your food (which will reach higher than 100 degrees Celcius), there is no chance that it will be carrying an infection, unless the virus falls on the food later after the food was cooked.

This does mean however, that the westerner method of cooking meat medium rare is a hit or miss. So you have to cook your meat well done from now on. Medium rare meat is cooked at 55 degrees to 60 degrees Celsius.

This derivative SARS-CoV-2 which is what people are getting doesn't affect animals. It only targets humans. Animals can become carriers of this virus though, but it could potentially lead to actual coronavirus which is common among many animals.

Don't wanna. They can convert it on their own if they think it's important enough. It's their own fault for using such an archaic and unintuitive system.

I can't tell if I should be happy about this revelation. Feels like the planet is indeed better off without humans occupying it. Look at the wild animals. Life's going well for them now except for some domesticated ones who are exploring their new found freedom outside their cages. I've always seen scenarios like these in fiction, but having see it happen to us complexes me. Beautifully exotic yet tragically fleeting. Immortality is definitely a must if you want to explore a world emptied of human activity on the surface. Green everywhere and blue above. Relics of our modern civilization now as ancient city ruins.
