Question How is the world online?

Is the world online worth reading, its written by the same author who wrote Shuras wrath
so is it better than shuras wrath and is the type of Legendary moonlight sculptor and rebirth of the thief who roamed the world type of VR novel?

 

The Mc is more focused at kingdom building though different from lms when weed still grinding

It is almost all kingdom building and army leading. The MC is technically Op but he almost never fights

 

So its a fairly normal type of VR novel?
Is it better than shuras wrath ?

 

The novel starts off fairly enjoyable to read, in the early pioneering village stages. However, as time goes on, it reads like someone playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms, including all the personnel management details. Cast of characters goes into the hundreds.

The MC is OP because of his knowledge of game events that allows him to recruit good subordinates, and develop his territory. He's not OP in the sense of personal combat (or rather, he could be, but it's barely shown). Don't expect him to do much fighting or adventuring. This is basically the power fantasy of an armchair general, not a solo warrior.

 

At middle/late chap mc never fight dude u can say he was just a leader type who never even grind lul

 

It's a good one, just try to not mind the historical infodump and xenophobic/racist thoughts mc tends to have from time to time...

 

I took a break with Shura's wrath ~200 I think, so i'm not sure what happens after

Depends on how you mean
The MC is a 2nd chancer (we find out why & how later) which gives him knowledge on some future events and patches (others caused by him or by others reacting to him), but it's not complete knowledge, and the butterfly effect happens, and he only has knowledge for a few years (total time meant to spend in the game ~10 years, he only has of... 4-5 at best I think).

And there are a variety of things he has no idea of and some other things he can't do anything about.

MC does become a very good fighter, but as he becomes higher and higher in his status & rank, he can less and less actually fight because of it.

Frankly, his knowledge only allowed him to form a good base and go from there, as well as some events which are going to happen, nothing directly helped him with recruiting subordinates

 

TBH Shura's Wrath isnt that good. The power level is out of porportion.
There are more challenges in The World Online. I'm at chapter 500ish and it's mostly managing territory, and war.
I'm not sure if both are made by the same author though.
The harem doesn't really exist yet although there is potential harem.

Mars Gravity (Author of ATG etc.) wrote Shura's Wrath and a couple of other trash VR novels similar to Zhan Long.

I haven't read TWO myself yet, but if it's even remotely close to shura's wrath then no it's definitely not similar to LMS or Rebirth of the Thief

Not if Shura's Wrath is one of those normal novels, then no it's very un-normal... More like completely opposite...

 

I mean, he is technically among the strongest players in the world in a 1v1. Hardly anyone could beat him in a fair fight. But he fights wars, and since it's more wuxia-ish, he alone could not do much in a battle with tens, or hundreds of thousands.

is "The World Online" purely playing out online in the VR world? does he ever exit it or does he transmigrate into a world like the VR game or what is the premise?

 

Nah. At first he's doing stuff irl, since he has a life and a sister to take care of. But, thing is, and this is revealed pretty early on, the world's gonna die, so planet's gonna emigrate to a new world. So, using the greatest ai in the world, and using every bit of martial, mystical, historical documents and lore in the world, it computed a way for cultivation to be real by extrapolating all the data and combining for it to make sense. The game is meant to train people to survive the new world and make people capable of raising civilizations. They eventually get shipped into space so everyone is in the game for like 10 years, or that's the plan at least. Their on year 4 I think?

 

thanks, sounds like and interesting premise, where basically being the top player means being the top talent for the new leading role in the world/planet they are travelling to
