I'm taking a statistics course and a project requires me to collect some data and then report about it. The information I'm tracking is the amount of sleep frequent internet users have gotten in the past week. However, I don't have enough data points. Anyone who is willing to fill out this forum would be very much appreciated. The only information asked is the amount of hours you have slept in the past week and the age range you fall into. https://forms.gle/F1J7tjbSvptoDvmH9 I couldn't find something in the rules against posting something like this but if it is something that is frowned upon I will remove the link.
I've been sleeping a good nine to ten hours a day this week. It's the onset of winter, I always sleep better in the winter
As someone who's done a stats course; as long as your survey give anonymity and privacy to participants with ethical means of collection, and you correctly reference to and justify your tools/sources, your lecturer/tutor should not have issue with the method the data.
Every day in the last half year I've usually slept about 4-6 hours. Occasionally 7 or 2-3... I miss sleeping.
A lot of people are currently on spring break, so I am not sure if the integrity of the data holds true when compared to pretty much any other time of year. An example being me getting 6-8 hours of sleep during breaks, but only 2-4 hours when I have to attend lectures.
Sleep is number one priority to me, then food. The most money I've ever given was for a decent mattress and pillow. So I'll sleep 8 hours on principle. If I didn't have time and slept 6 or less, I'd probably sleep for 12 hours in one of the following days. I'm also low energy because of a shitty diet, so I can't easily get out of bed. I could sleep around 12 hours a day lol. Too bad working life doesn't let you.
Nice project there, seen someone else do that a couple of weeks ago. This’ll be fun to watch~ Small problem I see here is that convenience bias (data only represents the nuffians here) as well as response bias (unless you managed to grab everyone) plays a very large role here. Your data set’s gonna be weird unless you specified the project around online readers. This body of words was mostly made in concern about it being a project that will be graded...
This week ? My total sleep time is around 27-34 hours?? I guess... And that's if you count 5 hours of meditating, for me
I usually sleep very long so I don't keep track of my sleep because its inconsistent and hard to keep in track to. Though, the longest sleep I had is 16 hours.
In my case is better to ask how long I haven't been sleeping ... I think that I sleep more than 8 hours a day sometimes even more than 12 And that is when i sleep not so much
....Here I am, healthily sleeping 8 hours per night leading up to 56 hours.... why does everyone around me have such terrible sleeping habits
You guys are awesome! I didn't expect to get a hundred responses in less than an hour. I realized I didn't put my own time in the original post so I'll put it here: 45 hours that includes 1 all-nighter and 12 hours of sleep the next day. I was thinking of it as hours total but either way works for me.
Some of you were talking about the skew of the data due to breaks from school and who is responding. My intent wasn't to get the average sleep time of people and instead I just want to look at specifically the days coming up to and after march madness that happened here in America. Including people that weren't even effected by it and people that were effected by other things.
I've slept 168 hours this week, I've been averaging about 24 hours a day. I don't think I've been getting enough rest to be honest~
