some games bought at full price
    - the sims 3 (base game)
    - xcom (base game) --> long war mod requires enemy within dlc
    - civ5 + gods n kings dlc --> many mods require brave new world dlc.
no regret though; sunk hundreds of hours playing them.

bought at discount to found out cheaper deals (some with more dlcs) later on
    - xcom2 + dlcs
    - civ6 + dlcs
life is too short for pointless regrets; never tried to install xcom2 yet, but the laptop is clearly not powerful enough to play civ6.

Crusaders Kings 2. It's a good game, no doubt, but I don't have the patience to get through the tutorial. It reminded me to just stick with action games. There are also JRPGs like Operation Abyss that I bought but didn't finish, since I was bored to death by the gameplay. Ironically enough, I am fine with looters like MHW, Nioh, etc.

I have no games that I regret buying but a lot of in-game purchases that the game successfully cajoled me into buying.

for collectors ? most cases wouldnt offer you a slot for a cd/dvd/blueray drive for years now
so quitea few ppl might not even be able to make any use out of it
as for cds and not dvds you might got back 25+ years half of them might not be readable anymore

and a pretty hight chance the games might be avaible at gog for a few bucks at most
i got a tray standing around with diablo1 +2 (and expansions) starcraft, simcity 3000, dungeonkeeper 2 and guildwars but thats worth close to nothing ;)

Hello, the purchase I regret most to be honest is GTA 5 :) I don't even really remember why I bought it at fuull price but I've basically never played it. All the other games (except bundled ones) I'll probably play someday, but not GTA...

This is a strange question. I might regret buying a game afterwards, but some time passes, I start playing again and I regret nothing.
I thought I regretted buying Fault - Milestone One, because the beginning was really lackluster, but as the game progressed I started to really appreciate the writing and upon completion I can safely recommend it to anyone.

Gunfire Reborn was the largest upset in recent years. Bought that great lotr game years ago and never ended up playing it more than a few hours as well, just wasnt into it (was a good game tho). Gunfire reborn really upset me to no end, I had such high expectations :sob:

I always regret buying all BL related games that my little sister coaxed me to buy.

I mean, buying it is okay, but being forced to play it...sigh I can't undo things that already happened, and it would most likely happened in the far future. At least playing Otome Game is much more bearable than that.

EDIT : The only bearable BL game I had played is that game where the protagonist are originally female but enter a game and become a boy in that game. That is still bearable since inside, there's also a boy who become a girl in that game.

I bought a game with intense keypad action which almost spoilt my keypad... This is why I don't buy Physical Combat Fighting Games anymore ... ^^

Cyberbug 2077 when it was released, and Disciples 3. I hope that the next Cyberpunk game won't have so many bugs when it will be released

I didn't purchase it, but I did try to download Fortnite as a joke once. It turns out it takes up an incredibly large amount of storage, and so I never downloaded it, but the icon for Fortnite is permanently on my Nintendo Switch now and it's embarrassing.

All of the games I bought during my teen, thinking they were legitimate video game copies, but it turns out that they are pirated games since there are no legitimate copies available in my country.
