I've been bored for the last hour and it got me thinking... Is netorare really that bad? If you think about it, it's quite common in nature. For example, lion prides. Wandering lion males will fight a pride leaders to the death in order to take over his pride. If the male wins, he will then kills the previous pride leaders offsprings to get rid of the old gene pool and mates with the lionesses in the pride. Truthfully I find this much more gruesome than having a love interest stolen from the main character. So to reiterate, do you think NTR is truly something that is completely unreasonable or can it be tolerated?
Did.... did you just compare a human relationship to feline mating habits? I'll be honest, not having read it I don't have any thoughts on the genre, but with that defense it's looking like the NUF version of donald trump.
Err..... Do you think the guy/girl who gets NTRed will feel it's reasonable? Do you feel the guy/girl who does the NTRing will feel it is unreasonable? It's a matter of perception. Personally I dislike NTR in real life, unless the person who gets NTRed is an asshole/wifebeater etc. PS: if you feel it's completely tolerable, lend me your girlfriend/wife. Just saying.
shit such a timing...I was reading "household affairs", I read till chapter 28 and was upset and then I thought why not read something else. So I started reading "sun-ken rock" and fuck, the damn bitch betrayed him and I was so sad I feel like I could cry. Then I thought I will read xianxia cause no NTR only rape. oh sorry I was ranting but i needed to get this off my chest cause i have to prepare for my final exams, which are starting next week.
Actually, I find the lion's behaviour a lot better... Sure a new lion kills the previous pack leader and its offsprings and then mates with the lionesses, but at least the previous pack leader was already dead when it happened. It tried its best to protect what was its, but failed and died. In netorare the guy/girl sees as his/her partner gets taken by another one and in the end starts to enjoy being with that person more than they enjoyed being with them... Also, pack animals and animals altogether just want to maintain their species alive. They have offprings just for that and when a pack leader gets killed by another male and the females get taken its not like the females loved the dead leader... They were with it due to the protection it brought to them and their offprings and to mate... If someone gets NTR'd is because their partner didn't love them and/or though the other person was a better match for them physically... Physical pain can heal, but mental pain may not.
People always want to leave for greener pastures, it's just realistic. No, people don't like it novels because they associate with the MC usually. If the MC steals a woman from someone else, I don't see anyone else complaining.
I don't care if someone is ntred as long as it not me or someone I care about. The only reason I dont like ntr in the novels I read is because I somewhat self-insert. I also love netori
I don't care if people wanna read that stuff or if its a turn on for some or whatever, but its plain cruel to steal someone's lover, IRL or otherwise. I'm not a fan, nor will I ever be one, and yes I've read some of it out of curiosity, and I can confidently say I find it rather terrible. Leaving real life aside, the plots of NTR are all so god awfully done. Its all 1 dimensional characters with shallow feelings, that just betray their lover for stupid reasons. Down with NTR, all hail vanilla! (I make exceptions and do like NTR sometimes, but thats in a specific scenario, if the person being NTR'd is a bad lover, like an abusive boyfriend losing his gf to someone else. In that case, yea whatever I'm cool with that.)
I rather like the feeling of not having my balls shrivel up into raisins and falling off, thank you very much.
if there is no NTR then how you to choose your partner? when there is no beauty available... are you chase the ugly one? nope you will strife for the beauty
Also, it's not that I like NTR, but I think that it can be useful as a plot device when used in the right way to grow a character.
No, you should consider that being sentient creatures, instead of, you know, instinctive animals, raises the bar for behavior. You're like someone arguing the morality of devouring your babies because hey, animals do it all the time right? Instinctive, thoughtless behavior is not a model to aspire to, it's a list of what we have and will overcome as thinking creatures.
