How stable would a Kingdom be if a King like this dies?

Honestly I see different dynamics to the throne depending on detail and amount of magic in this settting. One is communication. If the chair has to be in the throne room to work the king has to figure out a communication method to inform his generals in 8 to 12 hour. While great for defensive measures it isn’t so great for invasion (assuming it has a limited range). If the king is a sorcerer, any spell or curse that need line of sight and name just became a deadly and viable option.
Last can the throne project images? Any information the throne has might not be useable in court. Only one person has access to the information so what is to say that it isn’t fabricated? The king might have accidentally set the president if scrying spells are a thing in his court.

How would you take care of it? You can have the power to see everything, sure, but as the number one threat, you can bet the other kingdoms will send everything they have at you. You have 100k soldiers? That's great, but it means nothing. To preserve their own thrones, they will send all they have, including farmers to destroy you. Their kingdoms may suffer years of economic decline, but that's the price to pay to destroy that kind of threat. 100k soldiers can't stand against 2 million soldiers, even if they're mostly farmers. Yes, that's almost 80% of the entire population of your three (or four) surrounding kingdoms.

You want them to submit? Sure, they would, but they'd still be plotting your demise and the destruction of the throne. You see, simply accepting your authority means the same as cutting off the heads of their own children. You may promise that you won't invade them, but nobody will believe you with your absolute power.

Why would I need that when the past Kings made a law to marry one of there daughters and if they don't have one they must send there successor son to be part of his entourage. So the king have divided the noble from uniting already as his heir will come from one of there family as well.

The King gave away the secret to how he made the throne to any royal family that is willing to align with him against the hegemonic power in the western continents that hegemonic power is the Kingdom most hated enemy. So if the people who can stop him is divided how could they turn to destroy him?

If the king is so powerful and the throne is so awesome why has the kingdom not then conquered the other three small ones then? It just doesn't make sense. If he's so powerful that he is the only one preventing the destruction of the kingdom from the monsters that lurk in the other 85% of the land, they why has he been unable to conquer the 3 small kingdoms? They shouldn't exist in that scenario.

Well, that can work, but it's a huge deus ex machina. Also, humans have the power to find a way to solve problems. How will this throne work? Do you have to sit on it to use its power? Does it also work if you're away from it? Do you have to stay in the palace the entire time to use the power of the throne? Does the king using the throne has awareness of anything and everything in the kingdom at the same time? By that, I mean can he see 200k kids playing with pebbles at the same time while seeing all their parents harvesting gain?

You shouldn't underestimate the power of human fears.

p/s: I'm not saying it can't work. After all, Grancrest Senki exists. The system in Grancrest Senki is nonsense by the logic of our world, but if you consider that the system was made for a game, it makes sense.

the most important question how good is the opposition organized(have they planned what to do, etc. or Just egotistical Nobles with the only target kill the King)
how is the kingdom legitemized(religion magic etc)
i guess the video from HelloFutureMe about how Empires fall is good.(maybe watch the prior 2 vids too)
the only problem is that the Empire example is the scale is tooo big :)
but the main points still stick--

Wait so [any] of the noble families can succeed the throne due to bloodline mixing?

Thats some good incentive for knife sharpening

Also if the throne sees everything in the kingdom, would you just poison some gifts outside the kingdom and let patsy's deliver it. Or train some sort of murder wasp

This just keeps getting weirder and weirder to be honest with you.

Would you as a nation give away technology that made you superior to others? No.

Did he give them thrones that were slightly worse off than his? If yes, that's just as bad. He could have just manufactured some for his trusted staff or children and place them on the throne of conquered nations.
He could have made it subservient to his desires, not theirs.

The throne can change its appearance to that of any common object like a crown or a scepter as long as it is within the Kingdom.

No the King can't use the throne to see, but record everything his subject senses like sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell and when he wants to know something the throne will search it for him.
No only those born with magic and are from the King wife or consort, but not concubine nor mistress.

So they will be divided to support an heir against each other instead of at the Kings throat.

The royal family really hate that hegemonic power on the continent and were almost destroy by them as well due to there secret operative inciting his Nobles to rebel in the past.

Plus his Kingdom and the other great powers are on separate continents. So he doesn't have the means to carry out the logistics nor actually have the ability to conquered them anyway. Instead if they all either cut of trade or send there army in coalition with that hegemonic power leading his Kingdom will be the one that dies due to him not sharing how to make the throne with no other Kingdom.

So to make strong allies against that hegemonic he gave up the secret to his throne to anyone willing to secretly become enemies to that hegemonic power. Once they go to war on that continent and are significantly weaken conquering then later would not be a problem as the Kingdom is on another continent far away from any battlefield like America during both WW.

In a world of magic that could make a throne like this how likely do you think is it for that to succeed?

    Pretty easy

    Magic cuts both ways.

The biggest flaws in the throne are
1.) It's limited to the kingdom
2.) The king has to ask it the right questions.
3.) It's limited to living creatures.

You could make clockwork bumblebees that explode and train them to go after the kings scent.

Or hell, just use undead. Nothing like an incorporeal shadow assassin to f up a monarchy

Honestly queen Mary's Assasination attempt with the poisoned dress against Elizabeth was a pretty ingenuis plan save that one of her maid servants tried on the dress on first, killing the wrong person. A closed jar with a hive of cultivated murder wasps could be viable if the jar doesn’t get dropped. Incests are one of the creatures he can’t see through and thus an exploitable weakness.

Yeah... But why do think the throne only give him the ability to know, but not defend like making a magic barrier around him at all time? That is the throne true ability to protect the Kingdom from monsters that attack in the west and the King on the throne.

Okay, let me get straight then.

The kingdom with the OG and op throne lies in a continent that only has its territory mapped for around 5% leaving 95% unexplored, right?

It is also only one out of two continents, at least so far.

With the second continent housing multiple kingdoms bearing multiple thrones similar to the OG on the first continent because he wants them to be allies against some alien horde on his continent. So far it seems somewhat odd, but okay.

And furthermore, this takes place in a fictional 21 century setting with magic and firearms. See this is where it all turns upside down.

    Nobility in the 21 century?

Unmapped territory in the 21 century?

(Several) Absolute monarchies in the 21 century?

Would 21 century technology make it easier for the monarchy and nobility to live?

    Everything is state owned? Really?

I could legit keep going on.
There is legitimatly so many things that sounds weird, but unfortunately I no longer have the energy anymore to point them out.

You wrote 21 century in your first post, but 18-20 century does sound better.
