In xianxia when MC is attacked by someone stronger than him or bumps into someone or wins in auction opposite faction wants to kill him just because they feel offended.
If thats how it works in xianxia, why haven't world ended long ago because of people like that if every small thing offends them?? ^^

The problem is that people in Xianxia act like each of them are kings.

And who's to say all "kings" are arrogant? If an arrogant king picks on a neutral king, why isn't there more conflicts. Why the hell is everything centered around the MC?

90% are kings and act arrogant, yet the world still survives?

This is one of the reasons why xianxia isn't highly rated with many adult chinese cultural readers. It's because everyone besides the MC are servitle towards someone of greater power and anyone who stands up will be dead or written off. if your going to read any xianxia, just prepare to enjoy the action and the plot; don't think too deeply in the structure of the world or you'll destroy your enjoyment.

 

Well, its obviously an overexageration, but if you are raised given everything, and told that your word is law, also tought to be stronger than most everyone in the world(in their eyes at least), there are bound to be problems if someone tells them no, death problems.

 

Did you read his post? He said the MC was basically a bystander, yet everything he does basically turns them against him.

 

If you are literally raised to be King of the Entire World, then you don't conform to this thread's argument. He's talking about every single petty cultivator or sect who thinks they're king, not a literal strong power who literally controls the heavens.

That's just bad writing if he manages to piss this one entity every damn time...

 

How about a spoiled prince? or the son of a corrupt noble and you are supposed to be a commoner, Im not saying xianxia is close to reality, more like exagerated reality, but everyone of the "chosen martial artist" are taught that they are better than everyone else, so their pride is as high as a kite, and as corrupt as a spoiled prince.

 

From my point of view is that only the mc would offend those kings of hills everyone else just lowers there heads to avoid trouble, and in turn those kings of hills act differential when someone stronger appears is not always like this but is more or less the social norm, if you ask me it's the mc the one that stands out and disturbs the balance everywhere they go (for both good and bad).

Xianxia (false name since we're most probably talking about Xuanhuan) stories have cultivators make up a MASSIVE portion of the story's population. Based on "chosen martial artist", I still have to argue that with such numbers and with such attitude, the judgement they give the MC is far too stupid.

 

It's the way of showing how awesome the MC is. It's the Author's way of reminding us that the MC cannot be fucked.

1: The MC is the victim.
2: He is attacked
or
3: He bumps into them
or
4: He wins an auction.
5: THEY FEEL offended, not that he did anything offensive.

Well, yeah... but do remember that most everyone that Mc "insults" is someone with connections, connections that gain them the power to cower most people, Most Mc's do not cower and that is enough for the spoiled cultivators.

 

The person I was talking to asked what you would do if someone disrespected your power, even a little bit. My answer isn't wrong. If they challenge every single bystander like the MC, the world should have gone to hell with all these petty conflicts escalating.

 

I wouldn't mind arguing back and forth with you, but that'd just be driving this thread into another direction.
So before you reply to this post or thread, you should go read more Xianxia and learn how to think more before you're able to understand a hint of what I'm implying.
In fact, you'd understand what I'm saying if you just used a tiny bit of brain power to connect what I said to his post.
