I know you guys seen them, heck I see them a few times spamming their websites in chat boxes on translations sites, truly shameless B*sterds. (Websites stealing translations and posting them on their sites claiming them as their own for ad revenue traffic, and donations for no work at all) But the good thing is we have the power to beat them, and that is our novelupdates.com

They are greedy little fellas trying to eat the leftovers but the thing is they are barely getting anything at all. As long as the translators and the NU community occasionally spread the word novelupdates around they will dwindle down. (Their main focus of traffic is new readers not knowing about novelupdates.com)

P.S I really wish something like novelupdates for manga was created back in the day, there would be so many more manga's translated if they had gotten the recognition they deserved.

Let's not name anything or anyone.

Btw, the thing with manga community is that it's hard to read chapters straight from translator site. Most sites used to post their translation as download link.

It doesn't have the easy function like novelupdates where we get direct access to the blog/site of the translator/crew that worked on the manga. Now it generally functions as a library and statistics for novels, and manga alike.

Do you really expect me to keep track of hundred of different translator sites, when I can read it in one place?

    Yeah thats NovelUpdates........

Well maybe a long time ago but now it's easier to start their own blogs and sites. The only Manga website I know that actually gives full recognition to their groups/and scanlators is bato.to

Not everyone realize Novelsupdate exist. No advertisements anywhere from all the translator blogs I've read. Also, for most people, it's simply easier to read on one site. I still read my manga on only one site, even though "Mangaupdates.com" exists.

That's why I'm creating this thread to spread the word about novelupdates more. For manga's you can't really do anything about it, too many sites hosting all manga's exist.

Kinda redundant to spread the word of novelupdates on novelupdates dont'cha think? But yeah I agree with what you're saying. I think its better to just post the novelupdates link on the aggregator sites so peeps can see it

I use them in some rare cases that the original site is down.. or for whatever reason, that Im banned from it unknowingly.. so I can still read without stopping.. for novels anyway.
For manga.. since I rarely read them nowdays, I will go to an aggregator site when I do.. since Its more convinient that way.

Yes, translators should be directing readers to novelupdates instead of putting those 'Most up to date chapters at blahnoveltranslation.com' because an having a good aggregate is the reason why they use pirate sites. (also some tl sites are just an awful reading experience but that's another topic)
