Discussion How to Prove You're a Android or AI?

Dreaming of electric sheep? Focus balancing even your low end smartphone can juggle hundreds of things while human thoughts top out around 8 or 9 things while only being able to focus on one thing at a time. There is another possibility that can explain your experience: Reincarnation. Souls are not bound by the same laws of our fleshly bodies are and can cross realms, plains, time, and worlds in the great cycle. So it is safe to assume that one of your previous lives was a bit more digitally inclined than it is now but real enough to host a soul. It is the same reason we dream of things that do not exist or impossible to experience, where a new thought can influence all of time and space.

As far as machines go, I hope for the day when its common to have them take your food order and do all the work associated with getting it to you the way it was requested, every time. Instead of humans that can't give you a burger made properly and somehow keep their job even when its more of a trend of poor performance rather than just an occasional mistake. Some more AI in the world might be good for it to offset the humans that don't bother to use the intelligence they have on the simplest of things.


(This is the first picture I came across with robot workers, not intending to make any point about wages but if higher wages eventually gets workplace robots faster, thats good enough for me)

Humans are just amazing computers. Our brains are biological computers, so we're not that different from an advanced AI, with the exception that the AI would use the entirety of the processing power of its body, and could continue to grow its database listlessly whereas we cannot.

I highly doubt you're an AI or an Android, or any other human is for that matter; if you are, don't take it personally, but you're either restricted or downright obsolete.

Though this all links back to existentialism with all of its branches. I suggest you read up on some of those philosophers. Sartre, Kierkegaard, Camus, and Descartes to name a few. Some of them focus on more spiritual views, while some are more materialistic, all in all they're a good read.

Is a novel by Philip K. Dick and is the basis for the Bladerunner films...
In it a bladerunner(slang for an investigator that hunts down androids) finds androids that are in hiding in society to decommission them. He administers a test that determines whether the suspect is an android or not... the questions and the whole test itself is fascinating...

Actual developed test for what you are looking for... but it is mainly for computers... dunno if advanced androids have gone past it..

I have heard of these 'vending machines' that would often take physical currency in the hopes that you would actually receive a product and it not get stuck. All sorts of things can be had from them, for a price.

 

Using science to clone and/or edit human genetic code and then produce said 'human' I think would initially count as artificial, but once it started reproducing and introducing its genes into the the gene pool, I don't think that would count as artificial anymore... just consider it an artificial leap forward, assuming the results were positive over time rather than depending on the natural progression of the species. Then again, is it natural if a couple selects each other based on desired traits like significantly higher intelligence to increase chances of produce offspring with desired traits? It certainly wold not just be completely random, natural selection at work with the use of eugenics. Regardless of the origin of the container housing the intelligence, if it is sentient then I would consider it as real and valuable as any other sentient creature regardless of its origin. Then again, I would not want to be on the receiving end of some sentient Sky-Net type intelligence that decided humans need to be removed.
