Pursing her/his lips, she says, "this... Might take some getting used to..." My attempt: 唇を窄めて「これが... なれ始めたところかもしれない...」 I get the feeling it is a bit off. Any suggestions??
Here's my interpretation of saying a similar thing with some slight alterations to make it more like the writing style of the last author I read from. I'd have used a name rather than she if I had one though. 唇を噛んでいながら、彼女が言った「これは…慣れる時間をかかるかもしれませんね…」
「これ......まだ慣れていない......」と唇を引き結んだ。 始めたところ + かも doesn't make sense. Not sure what vibe you're going for but 唇を窄めて is when you're angry/disappointed, e.g. after a disagreement with another person.
