By now, we're mostly aware of the scenario in Japan, China and Korea, with major websites dipping their toes into it. While there's no dedicated site for KR translations, there's a significant number of translated works all over the place.

I did see some Thai and Filipino novels on NU sometime ago and was curious how the scene's in your country. So fellow users outside of the US, what's the deal? Is there an active webnovel scene and no translators or are there not very many places to publish?

I think a lot of countries have a really big intersection between the group of people who're interested in webnovels and the group that has sufficient English fluency that it's just not worth it to write in the local language at that point outside of the Big 3. Of course this excludes EU countries.

Trying to think of Canadian webnovels... All I can come up with are those weird french cartoons that popupp between shows sometimes and Nanalan. I sure hope that we don't make a dedicated Canadian webnovel service.

...there are some small sites around, yeah.

But most Swedish literature is taken very seriously, still. Authors are very respected here, and we have a long history of outstanding ones.

So... not really anything major, basically. Which is how I prefer it, tbh; I don't want this trash infecting my homeland anyway

Filipino webnovels became popular in wattpad. Many popular ones have been reached by publishers and got published. However... most of these, as far as I know are romance pocket books and horror stories for teenage girls.
I dont do wattpad nowadays so Im not too sure about it anymore.

PS: as long as Filipino webnovels becomes popular oversees... I don't think it would be hard to find a translator because many can speak english here.

Too many isekai/gaming novels written by grade-schoolers, 90% of them have the same self-insert-wet-dream template and many of them are on hiatus, temporarily and permanently.
