I suffer from severe fragrance issues that lead to major breathing problems. To the point where before I can sit near a stranger I have to ask if they are wearing any perfume or cologne, as I react to levels below even the easily noticed threshold (especially if I spend more than a few minutes near the person wearing the fragrance). Thus I can say, from a truly random sample of people I have tried to sit near in public places (transit, restaurants, theaters, lines, etc) in the last several years, that over ten percent of the people I ask tell me that they also suffer from some issue regarding fragrances (usually headaches).

Therefore, even if you are in the lucky 90%ish that do not suffer from fragrance issue, please consider going fragrance free. And if you are not willing to go fragrance free, please be kind to those around you and reduce the amount of fragrance you use.

    Thank you

Edit: If you really want a fragrance I suggest using essential oils instead of any standard cologne. The essential oil has fragrance without all the nasty chemicals that they add to perfume and cologne.

Got to say if you sweat easily, and a lot at that, like myself, going 'fragrance free' won't be helpful to anyone I'd say...

That means you need a better deodorant, rather than a stronger fragrance...

Mint apple. Or double mint/frosty mint. Or anything nerve soothing such as herbal oils.
My deodorants is just sports deodorants while my perfumes or cologne are just scent i liked. Never really bought into those fashion magz 'romantic' naming sense scent.
Too bad it's hard finding them now these days.

Everytime I smell intense cologne  I’m pretty sure I got traumatized in 7th grade when this girl who sat next me sprayed like 10 sprits every period. I really don’t get how novels describe cologne smell as attractive because I’m getting PTSD just thinking about it :blobtired:
