Haha I like jap novels alot (maybe cuz I'm younger) be I filter out harem when going thru lists so ya

I avoid Chinese books tho cuz some of their tropes I RLLY don't like for example their romances are almost all the time some yandere possessive CEO falling in love with mediocre woman with extremely one dimensional villains then there's xianxia which I don't even need to explain(yes I know it's a genre and I just need to filter it out but still)

I enjoy some Korean novels but they have lots of antihero protagonists and I somehow just don't like how the protagonists kill people for the "greater good"(yes I know my taste is skewed)

Nah you are just normal. You are not like the usual elitist on here pretending to be a connoisseur.
It is a shame that people compare paid Korean and Chinese novels to free Japanese web novels.
A better comparison would be Japanese light novels

I know how you feel. So many "Strong (or OP) Female Protaganists" novels that could otherwise be so good are ruined by having the 'suoer-talented and super OP yandere possessive ML' trope just heaped in with no care of how it ruins the story. CEO stories are the biggest offenders, definitely.

I never watched Come Eat Shan Shan and I never will.
I only watch female CEO stories. It's a matter of principle for me now
