I can't understand why gods in japanese novel...

Hey, if you read some japanese novels you must already have seen the plot when the MC is killed by accident and to compensate for this he is sent to another world with his memories and some sort of special power, so I am asking WHY THE HELL THE GODS DO THAT ? maybe I am too much infected by chinese novels or something of the like but I just can't understand a god placing himself at the same level as a mortal, the gods in japanese novel is like: ok, I sorta of screwed up and killed some japanese kid, let's do a dogeza and hope that he forgive me and offer to him a reincarnation to a isekai, shit, if I was a god I would be like: okay I killed a japanese kid by accident, fuck you, do I have to take care of ants when I am walking and try to gain theirs forgiveness and offer a compensation ? I just can't understand it.

 

Even Japanese gods are beta. Remember that.

Basically gods in cn novels are baddass, while gods in jp novels are wimps. But seriously if I'm that god imma just send it to other world and give him/her powers with a message "shit i fucked up. "

Well... it depends on what god it is...

 

Mate they are japanese so their gods are also japanese. In our circles dictionary japanese are called " the bowners". 1st; they bow too much 2nd; they get boners from seeing a female life form basically.

If I am to be serious though, I always hated it when I saw a god dogeza to a mortal too. It's just dumb

Japanese gods are always bored, they don't know how to rid of the almighty boredom

 

They gain their power through worship so say that their religion is ovetsaturared on japan wouldnt the gods naturally send a envoy to expand the believers

Ha! why should I worry about gaining followers? I don't know if my power would be affected by the number of followers, if not I would just ignore mortals, if yes I would just do some miracles and they would spontaneously turn in to followers, as what a best way to gain faith than fear ? and you may be wrong assuming that I would literally say: "fuck you" any time that I see a mortal, I would just think it, after all, I wouldn't bother going out of my way just to insult ants, right ?

 

Take this with a grain of salt since I'm making it up from what I've read...but this comes about because Japan does not worship one god. Combine that with the fact that there's a widespread belief that a god's strength comes from the number of believers and you can make a somewhat logical leap in that Japanese gods are more service oriented than most.

One way to keep your followers happy, therefore, is to admit when you make a mistake and own up to it. You'll be able to keep your followers, etc. etc.

There's no point in keeping your pride if it's going to weaken you. I mean, if they're mad at you, you've potentially lost a worshipper and your greatest rival might gain said worshipper. Repeat over the multiple thousands considering the number of Isekai stories exist and...

I don't see the point in making comparisons. I think it's supposed to be ironic. And aren't a lot of cn novel "gods" just people who cultivated to a high level

Yeah sure, but they are fucking gods, doing some compensation I would understand like giving another chance at life with some special power, but doing a dogeza to apologize? that's too much.

 

Because manners and respect are part of the vital everyday routine for Japanese and they imprint that on their gods. Thats how I see it anyways

 

That's not the worst part. The worst part is that gods in japanese novels sucks. They so bad at just being gods and they just can't do simplest jobs like counting people down and being impartial and so on.
