Why It Should Get Picked Up: I came into it thinking I'd get a childish protagonist looking for a "slow life" with a random harem he picks up along the way. Instead, I got an adult with a realistic outlook who uses his cheat to make money, and spends it mostly on prostitutes. The adult scenes are depicted hilariously (they're described as chuuni battles with special techniques) but with some thought-provoking ideas on sexuality and society sprinkled in... and if it were just that I still wouldn't be writing this recommendation. Basically, the world has fantasy mecha,

and the hilarious techniques that the main character has mastered in his battles with prostitutes? Those make him potentially a great mecha pilot...

And somehow, an epic story unfolds as our hero does what he wants (or tries to). This story so far is honestly at least as good as Pure Love x Insult Complex or Road to Kingdom - It continually surprises me and makes me laugh, makes me like a lot of the characters and cheer them on, even the MC's opponents... This needs to be shared with more people!

What else can I say? Ah, maybe I'll do a disclaimer for the things that might be shocking to some... I found the adult scenes mostly funny and not For Academic Purposes (so don't expect to need a lot of tissues), but they may contain:

MC is straight without special interests, but... He once visits a brothel that turns out to specialize in cute boys. A brothel he visits more often specializes in lolis. There's also a gay knight company on the enemy side and one of his friends is bisexual. There is a little girl-on-girl as well. Another friend is into anything and everything, including old women. An enemy knight awakens to S&M preferences. One character is into scat. There may or may not be a scene with nuns reverse-gang-raping monks.
Many female characters are prostitutes and there is no harem for the protagonist so don't expect anyone to "stay loyal" to MC after he plays with them once.

The story is nowhere near complete at 200 chapters and MC doesn't seem to want romance right now - he's having way too much fun playing around.

 

True, it's not 'disloyalty' just a lack of focus on 'loyal relationships' which most readers have learned to expect from isekai because you can buy a slave and she'll be like OMG HERE TAKE MY BODY YOU GREAT MASTER THAT LETS ME EAT ACTUAL FOOD AT AN ACTUAL TABLE.

 

Ah but those isekais tend to be R-15 in most cases. R-18 MCs buying female slaves if not actually buying them for sex, tend to atleast consider it pretty soon after they buy them due to a variety of reasons.

 

Hope chapters are long and not 1/10th of other novels.

 

It's either R15 or JP logic R18 where it's like i would never force her! but she nearly jumps MC. Or he's like i need to practice my magic on you *flips skirt with wind magic*. (some jobless 'i became able' isekai).
Or it's a 'you can get stronger if you sleep with me and get revenge' blablabla etc. Like a mutually beneficial 'relationship' that randomly turns into extreme loyalty. (with the healer turned fighter , with the kureaga name or something)
Or the first girl preps all the girls that come next by making him seem really gentle and better than other masters. (slave labyrinth harem or something).
All three types 'do' the girls, from not intending to being a necessity to being his intention upon purchase but totally normalized lol.

If it were more realistic and you're like i'll buy a slave to f*ck, it'd obviously not be that distorted 'rose coloured glasses' , not to mention she'd be pretty broken by the time you purchase them.
I guess this specific novel might have some more realistic grittiness to it.

there's a college student who needs as much money as she can get because magic research is expensive, maids who served fallen nobles and need to earn money to make ends meet, one girl who got brainwashed with magic and fell into debt... some girls also got drugged while working. Even more situations are mentioned that are dangerous to the customers

Slavery isn't even brought up iirc. Which is great, because every time a happy "slave harem" novel shows up I wonder why there aren't organizations enslaving any children who show talent and using them to control the world or at least a kingdom or two.

 

Yeah, i was thinking of saying 'why doesn't he just buy slaves since lives are cheap in those worlds' so that answers that question. It's mosty people 'degrading' themselves or surviving by making such choices and not actual slavery.
In response to slavery possibly being more expensive than whores i was thinking, just burn down villages but spare the lolis, put them in an orphanage and raise them to be your waifus in the future. Never meeting any other men *evillaugh*

The other situations are your typical H-plot, but this one.......What??? Not full blown Mind Control Slave, but Mind Control + Debt + Prostitute Slave??? 1st time I'm hearing Mind Control + Debt in the same sentence since you know......Mind Control and all(Prostitute with Debt is the norm, but a MC Prostitute and still with Debt? Now that's a new one)

 

Brainwashing magic seems to be not really mind control in this setting. It's more like... actual brainwashing. The mage has to establish dominance first, then use the magic and give the target "reasonable" suggestions. If the target beats the mage, or if the suggestions are too unreasonable, the magic won't have any effect. Unfortunately, it's not too hard to convince people to spend money they don't have.

The answer is simple.

How the hell would an ignorant MC find out if they actually did? And if he somehow did find out, he would in no way have been the first one, and there would likely have been someone amongst the ones before him that wouldn't have liked some kingdom to be controlled by evil organizations. Not to mention, very few nations in the isekai novels are with their 'first ruler', who might've been controlled. Any descendants wouldn't have wanted control so they would've fought against the organization in many cases.

And we don't very often find out about other happy or atleast normal slave harems in those isekai worlds, because it's not really a focus point. Likely, there's atleast some people who treats their slaves well, for various reasons, but how could the author show off the MC's 'goodness' towards his slaves if we didn't read about more people who treat slaves horribly?
