Discussion i have a mansion in the post-apocalyptic world Good read?

Is this novel still a good read even though I read that the translator toned down some sexually oriented scenes? Does it ruin the novel? I usually like this type of novel but was curious if it was nerfed by the translator.

 

I Still like it enough to read it, average yeah, but it doesn't pissed me off that's for sure like some other novels.

 

Its still good bro. Just made it so that it doesn't turn into a 18+ novel and stays ecchi

 

it's not an ero novel so i don't see how toning down sex scenes will affect it? I think it's fine tbh. the plot is all over the place, and the author does the same as many other authors and give countries pretty much random names, which can break immersion a bit, but it's still fairly good

a good chunk of the content is cut by the translator to keep it PG so if you want to read it go ahead and realize certain content just isn't there

 

it is a novel that you can read when you have nothing else to read. that's all

 

They censor names like US but don't censor Syria, they are arbitrary and disappointing.

 

Yeah I had a relatively early drop on that, don't think it was 200 chaps in. I rarely drop xianxia that early. Most get 500+ chaps before reading it just annoys me

 

Did the translator remove sex scene or something like that ?

 

It's one of those that get better as the story progresses because the setting doesn't work at a small scale. Once the MC starts dealing with the world globally (both in his own world and the apocalypse), it starts getting fun.

Ending was a bit meh... Harem was smaller than I would've thought...

 

It's pretty enjoyable. It's just that you never really know whether Qidian censored anything or the author skipped past some of the ecchi stuff. But overall the premise, action and interactions are good enough to keep me going. At least it doesn't fall in the over repetetive cycle of "have hot wife -> arrogant young master -> conflict -> you know the drill"

 

oh its toned down? well sexy scenes dont matter that much anyway, so its still an enjoyable read.

 

ive said this before but just the fact that the translator censors w/e the fuck they want at random makes me want to never read it again. anything they dont like they dont tl so it ruins the integrity of the story.

also i dont understand, he got a bj in a car but then other stuff is censored. the tl seems super autistic. also there are tons of better stories so you dont really lose out by not reading it

 

Would you say Castle of Black Iron is a better read than this novel?

 

Nope both are average, though the Castle of Black Iron made me rage several times because of his immaturity, perverted nature and lack of awareness with gold.

 

Never tried but would like to.

he just censor whatever the fuck he likes. right now it's like if he feels it's too tiring to translate or difficult to understand, he'll just remove it.

it's better to just read MTL right now. also the release schedule is fucked up and random

otherwise it's a really good novel and the synopsis is shit

 

Yeah the MC just wants to spend gold when he has to become broke again and still goes to fight in the front cause he thinks hes invincible cause of his cheat and he goes balls crazy to kill the enemy.

Spoiler: A small rant

Well he goes to kill f*#&ing 3 levels above his strength 3 LEVELS!!! That's not all, he comes back from being crippled and having no cultivation to full power in less than 50 chapters. I mean what the duck!!!!
