I believe we have a common rule that if they haven't translate it for about 3 months it would be alright to pick it up, since there can be problems in Real Life.
So either they say they will drop the series or haven't post a chapter in 3 months then it would be alright to pick up the novel

Everyone can have RL problems and I think it's okay for a translator to not post chapters for a few days provided they post them when they come back.

Have you seen a contact? Do you know whether this person is actually employed? Even if they are employed and there is a contract, how would you know this isn't in line with it?
Don't speak about professionalism when you don't even have any proof to base it on.

5 days is nothing, its only past 2weeks + with 0 contact with the translator when you can start to get worried that something has happened.
Tho watchout, they might just come back and say "fuck you" to all the people that worried for them.

 

Qidian are ppl too. They can get sick or something even if they are the Immortal Professional Qidian Sect.
Anyways things happen. I have been waiting for a chapter of God of Thunder since January...
