Sadly I’m a cup half full kind of guy. With a believe nothing and suspect everything kind of attitude. But I always strive to be positive.
But getting back on topic. You may ask why I have a morbid reason to say “I love you”. That reason is because if this is the last words you ever hear from me. I’d like them to know that I do love them and my final thoughts we’re of them. Also that we parted on a good farewell with no regrets. Death could be right around the corner after all. So I always say “I love you” every time I leave or if someone I care about leaves. And that’s why I say my “I love you” are a little morbid.

The question I ask is. Do you do any positive things for morbid reasons?

Don't you mean cup half empty tho with that first half of the description?

You have both of half, so I wouldn't care too much. Balance.

Let’s see, I live because I’m waiting for death.

    Edit.
Oh wait, that’s actually two negatives. Nevermind...

Well, I think that makes you suspicious of others which is not bad as long as you don't take it to extreme levels, being cautious is good

i usually respond with "well thats good" when the news says such and such died. Does that count as positive thoughts toward morbidity

    I'm not sure if this counts;

Ever since I was a little kid, I always like accompanying my parents whenever they go outside or take a trip somewhere(even simple errands like paying bills and whatnot). Even now I always do this. And the main reason is so that if they ever got into an accident or something bad happens, I'll be with them. Hmm, even like the ultimate bad thing but I don't want to say it. I just don't want to be left behind you know?

It's more of an action I guess. I don't know when it started. And I do that I love you thing as well. Lol.

I was taught to always say "God bless you" when someone sneezes because, I was told, that when you sneeze your heart skips a beat and it could possibly kill you. So if that happens, the last thing you hear is someone giving you a Blessing.

Is that really such a morbid reason? I think its a MUCH better reason than most, because most say it just to say, some dont even mean it.

    Shrugs.

I mean, if the "I love you" is meant well, then it is never morbid.

Thanks. I agree. Most people probably think that way and just use a little lip service with a fake smile.
As to the morbid part: characterized by or appealing to an abnormal and unhealthy interest in disturbing and unpleasant subjects, especially death and disease.
Although it’s a righteous negative. It still involved death.

Whenever someone I care for walks out the door to drive somewhere, I tell them to be safe. Every time. I feel like the one time I don't say it will be the time that they die in a car crash or something. I blame Fruits Basket for that, oddly enough. I read the series when a lot of people close to me were dying, so it really stuck with me, and now it's almost a paranoia that if I don't say it, I may never see that person again. I also make sure that even if I'm pissed at the person, I don't let the last thing they hear from me be words of anger, because if anything happens to them, I don't want the last exchange between us to have been a negative one.

    Another comrade. Welcome.
As to Fruit Basket all I can say is WOW. I never saw the connection, but it’s so obvious now. I knew I had a special place for this manga.

I'm big on not leaving things unsaid. You world can change in a moment's inattention, and the opportunity to be clear about feelings and intention may be lost. So live and love and encourage those around you to be like that as well. Create the beautiful world you want by saying I love you, be safe, take care, I hope I see you soon, etc. It's so much better than saying nothing and holding that unfulfill wish in your heart.

Oh yeah I have thought of that a lot of times. But well, I would still prefer it that way. I'm selfish like that... :(

Ps: It's nice to see that I'm not the only one doing/thinking these things. xD It's those dog-blood dramas man... I'm telling you.
