It offers far more freedom for authors and allow more control for them, but people still prefer FanFiction.net o.o its here: https://archiveofourown.org/
My guess is that AO3 is filled with slash fanfics while in fanfiction.net it's the opposite. As far as I know, the majority of users of NUF are straight males. Or am I wrong?
You can choose what kind of relationship fanfiction you want to see tho o.o I can filter out fxf, mxm, mxf, multi or anything else o.o Another fanfiction site but its a volunteer project instead of making money unlike fanfiction net, offers a lot more freedom to the authors
its a very big site tho…. you can check out!! https://archiveofourown.org/ I do like Age of Empire but im a graphic whore so in CiV I go
Ao3 is archiveofourown.org It is a website that filled with fanfiction, and true it has more slash fanfic than fanfiction.net. But recently it was updated and you could filter what genre that you don't like (FF, MM, etc) so long you know what to exclude.
Probably because it offers more freedom, afterall FF limits mature content, when AO3 says "as long as you warn the reader" I literally saw all kinds of fics in all kinds of situation there, certainly more creative than FF lol
Blatantly false. I see more forum posts on the front page with this (bl) in the title even more than Qidian drama. And even then, a lot of the times it's the females of NUF hosting those weird "games" and other stuff going on ALL the time.
Never heard of it but I never been interrested in fanfics as almost all of them are more self inserting fantasy than most webnovels, or are forced train wrecks over series and characters that I like. When I read a fanfic or a doujin, I can only feel sad thinking about all the effort that the original author put into his work and characters that get shitted over by the horrible writing and forced bad plot shoehorning of those so called fans...
I never heard about it actually. When I searched about fanfics, fanfiction.net is the first thing that pop-ups in my google search.
Yes. There are quite Good ones as well as bad. An author has authority to ban fanfictions however, author of Anita Blake for example bans making of fanfic I have author experience in both, so majority of great authors who get done dirty by ff is in AO3, but since ao3 is fanmade, ff.net with a corporation behind ofc gets more revenue to make google display their site first That and their name literally has fanfiction lol
