I felt this way in the first 3 volumes, but after that when the author actually had a true and proper direction for the entirety of books 4 and 5, that contradiction is removed. In book 3 specifically it was explained that his mind was being corrupted b the soul that he had in his possession so that’s a bit alright but even the author admits that’s in books 1 and 2 FY as an evil character was a gimmick. I feel that only at the end of book 4 does RI actually become a 10/10.
lord of the mysteries id say is just as good in my opinion then next id go with renegade immortal, pursuit of truth, i shall seal the heavens, i cant think of anything else on the same or close to reverend insanity apart from Lotm tho.
