My work will throw me to somewhere with shit internet for weeks every now and then, so I'll need to stockpile on offline games. Recommend some stuff please. PS: Laptop is a bit of a potato, so anything visually fancy is probably out of the window. Like, it can't even load Frostpunk. Big bummer there. And the last campaign mission of They Are Billions stutters bad if the difficulty is above 100%. So far I've enjoyed (and able to run): They Are Billions Dishonored Slay the Spire Battle Brothers Salt and Sanctuary Bad North Sunless Seas / Sunless Skies Into the Breach Everspace Child of Light Skyrim Rome: Total War Dead Cells Dragon Age series Mass Effect 1-3 And probably a bunch of others I can't really recall, but that's the gist. It's all over the place, I know. I can't even figure out the pattern of what I'd like or dislike. Try me.
Elona and Cataclyms: Dark Days Ahead They are good games but really complex, also roguelike and just straight up long If you can enjoy them without having to look up the wiki, they can keep you entertained for a long while
I've been enjoying Hades a lot this year.My old lap was a bit of a potato so here's some games i played on it of late Hades-one of my favourites this yesr Crosscode Persona 4 golden Rimworld Factorio Dicey dungeon Oxygen not included Danganropa series Hollow knight Terraria Slime rancher
Outward is fun, but feels like a discount Skyrim. Where The Outer Worlds is more like Boarderlands meets Fallout. Notia is an intreseting game, but you will die a lot. Slasher's Keep is a classical Dungeon Crawler in the same style as Doom, but with Levels and Items. Griftlands is a good card game that can be a little short, but has multiple Campaigns with multiple routes and lots of replay value. Hardspace: Shipbreaker is unlike anything else out there at the moment, but its TONS of fun, highly recommend it. Risk of Rain 2 is Fun with lots of replay value, but its one of those mindless games. Satisfactory is awesome, but them I've always like building factories like this, so maybe its just me.
+1 Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead Dwarf Fortress though you may want internet to look up the wiki if youre just starting to learn it. No internet at all or just terrible service/bandwidth?
Never took a liking to Factorio or Rimworld for some reason. Meanwhile Dicey looks like the exact kind of insanity I'd like. System requirement looks murderous, but I'll try. That's a lot of nice stuff. But early access tag isn't appealing, I'd wait for some of these. Well, work wouldn't end anytime soon anyway. Terrible service, most of the time there's none. I tried New Vegas and pretty sure got rid of it in less than one hour. The minimap was horrible.
how about some older stuff like the bioware rpgs ? Baldurs Gate 1&2 + add ons, icewind dale, never winter nights 1+2 planescape tornment each of them should allow to sink about 100h into it BG got remasters if i remeber it right planescape some inoffical remake Borderlands 1/2/2,5/3 wasteland 1-3 pathfinder kingmaker subnautica some older heroes of might&magic 3(hd) 5 or 6 Civilisation 3 and up knights of the old rebublic 1&2 2 is buggy and need fan fixes first
true tried kotor some time ago and quit after less than 5 minutes thought BG is quite nice if you get a way to increase the resolution for Borderlands its no problem at all civ and homm 3 got their own charme or its because i sank so much time in them back than fond memories might sound strange bot for master of orion i still like the 2nd one the most ,horrible 3rd part and even wargamings new approach a few years ago cant match the good old one civ 6 is a great game but the performance you need for the late games might kill your pc if it need 2-3 min to calc the enemies turns you could go full hardcore with might&magic 5-9 too and for them its not about aging well or not they were ugly even on release date thought its the content that matters back in the days with drawing your own minimaps, noting npc names and no questmarker doing half the game for you while its even easier nowadays well wiki and help pages, online maps, guides, walkthroughts etc
Might and magic goes to nine now?? Last time I checked it's up to five, wow. My favorite was the fourth, liked the heroes system. Had some hilarious moment, like killing a legendary magic immune enemy hero by turning berserk the stack of elites next to him.
not really now m&m9 was released 18 years ago m&m4 was 1992 are you sure you arent mixing up m&m with homm ? as for heroes of might&magic i likes the 4 part the least hero as ordinary fighting group, strange 3d style ...
no problem could happen to everyone heroes of might and magic went to 7 with add-on and they might have killed the series with it ...
Bioshock 1 Dragon's Dogma Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2 Steam Winter sale is coming in the next few days, so you should probably wait until then to purchase games.
