Yeah, now you'll only get praise for reading gay material because this is the internet. Where gays are more important than everyone else.

I recommend you try Heroic Death System then. It's really interesting even though the author spends a lot of time on yaoi.

Tbh I actually do read novels which have yaoi for the plot. I read most novels for the plot.
It’s just a novel which just happens to be explicit and just happens to have the male main character and male main lead.
Pretty rare that I can tolerate it but some novels are just that good.

The polygamy in that one is so low key I always forget about it. The dude barely even talks to those women, and he's so ancient by that point it doesn't really matter too much. At most you think "wow, even that dudes genes are overpowered..." and then go on to think about how his Ai chip is hacking the universe or whatever.

I think I'll give it a try then (especially that MC is said to be similar to FY of Reverend Insanity). I just don't like my protags being too focused on chasing ladies at the expense of the actual plot :blobunamused:.

I read yaoi but the smut usually doesn't do anything to me. It's not disgusting, hot or anything really. It's pretty much just there. I read yaoi for the relationship dynamics. When there're two dudes, you don't know how it's gonna go. I read hetero novels sometimes but only if the female characters wear the pants. Or if it's gender bender.
