I went back a read a part and it said that the ability to make another persons soul lamp as their own came from paragon Nine seals. But he never thought it would work so I don’t think that he had planned for Meng Hao to make that lamp his own

I dunno about that (it sparks some memories tho), but I do know that the lamp itself flew from MH's back and began fusing with him, a process that took 2 thousand yars iirc. After the war arc, when he was floating in space.

 

It wasn’t his. It belonged to the devil continent soul that he fused with. The technique had a low success rate so no one was confident in it.

 

Meng Hao initiated the fusion but the lamp cooperated

I know it's very dumb to ask this to someone who literally just re-read issth, but...are you sure? I mean, MH had no reason to initiate this by himself when he still had his lamps, and he didn't have the time to do that after he detonated them since he was in coma right after that UV's self-destruction incident. As far I can see in my memories, it was :
MH detonated Soul Lamps -> Lord 3rd saved his ass -> MH floating in space -> Bag of holding ruptured -> items scattered across space, except for the pve soul lamp -> PVE Soul Lamp floated above MH's forehead and started fusing with him.

 

I can't wait for the translation to finish. I dropped it around where MC's father is having his breakthrough. I am waiting until its all done to binge read the whole thing from start to finish. From the discussion it sounds like things are getting really interesting

Yep. Everything has been on good for ISSTH but up until I started the reread, I was all caught up
