... So... You skipped chapter 4?? i appreciate the spoilers but i don't get why a chapter would be skipped so early on... I mean. I haven't seen a lot of him so far but he really comes off as the kind of guy who'd never have any friends if none of them broke into his life the way mc has so far bc of his cold, aloof attitude. She read the novel! She knows what he likes and what the fl did to win his heart! And honestly he lives w a bitch of a stepmom and a dad who doesn't do much for him (iirc), he could use someone who just wants to see him (well, him and the other dudes, but they aren't in the picture yet). Aesvin probably will have to pester them at first, but who knows, it will probably turn mutual sometime later, judging from the prologue lmao.
I read some of the raws up to chapter 15, and this is starting from after the already translated chapters so far: Spoiler: 6-15 She keeps visiting him for 1 year, but each time it's still only just greeting. All her advances get rejected, such as asking for tea. One day, she decides to bring him cheese muffins because he apparently likes them in the story, because sweet things are a good place to hide poison and the original FL made cheese muffins instead for him and he was touched and ate them, despite not eating what other people gave him. She brought it to him, but he told her something along the lines of "Why should I trust something you give me?" And MC realizes that she took him too lightly, thinking that since she's the "main character," some attempts to get friendly shouldn't be taken too lightly. So she decides to eat all the cheese muffins to prove to him that there's no poison in it. She eats a bunch and when she has three left, he tells her to stop, but she keeps going because she's thinking something along the lines of "What a waste since its only three more" and "what if there's always going to be some doubt in his mind that this was poisoned." MC eats everything, and goes "See, there isn't poison!" but then since she overate, she started vommiting and while she is, she keeps crying how there isn't poison. When she's awoke, she's got a fever and everything and when she thinks about what happened, she gets hella embarassed and wants to kick her blankets in embarrassment. Her parents don't want her to be near the prince at all anymore, after the incident. She debates it for awhile and then decides to just not see him anymore. She sends a letter about how sorry she was to show her sorry state like that and that she'll never bother him ever again like he wanted her to. Right after she gets a letter from the Queen, asking to come for a meet-up I guess, with like other kids. Her parents reject for her, but the Queen sends another letter, saying that she'll push back the date until she gets better. Her father says he'll do something about it, but MC knows that he can't really directly refuse, so she says she'll go. When she gets there, everyone ignores her and she realizes how isolated she is. Then Luciano comes and sits besides her, she awkwardly greets him with a smile, and then Queen Isabelle comes. I think the seats were arranged though, I don't remember. The Queen talks and then she asks MC about the whole incident, asking if someone bullied her. Luciano doesn't really look at her or react. MC then says "There is." Then MC points to the girls who ignored her, but they all say it's MC's mistake and then MC realizes that the Queen thinks that she and Luciano had a falling out from that incident and was trying to get her to publicly insult Luciano. She quickly says "It's nothing, I really just overate." And then they leave, but MC gets a letter from Luciano, it's a curt letter just telling her to meet him tomorrow at his place at 2pm. MC thinks that she would've been happy if she had gotten that letter when she was the "Sunflower Heroine" (basically the type of heroine who is always bright and warms ML type of heroine, in contrast to the cool Heroine [which is sort of original FL I think, bc MC says that original FL and Luciano fought a lot before becoming close]). Now that she isn't really going for him, she just rejects him. She gets another letter from him and it's a bit more polite than the last letter, but she assumes that if he sent it twice, he might really need something. So she goes, and when she gets there, Luciano tells her to sit and wait and is gone for awhile. MC is a bit annoyed and is about to leave when she sees Luciano come in with tea. She's shocked to see him actually pour her tea. It's some pretty damn good tea though. When the teapot is empty, MC goes to leave, but surprisingly, Luciano actually escorts her to the carriage. Just before she's about to leave, Luciano says to come tomorrow too. MC is surprised and she doesn't think Luciano might possibly love her because she just threw up in front of him. She asks "Why?" Luciano says that he needs to take responsibility. MC assumes it's about the cheese incident, but I don't know what it is, but Luciano looks dejected and he mentions another incident that he needs to take responsibility of, but how it seems MC doesn't really mention it. MC is relieved that she found out the reason for Luciano being weird and says, "Don't worry about it. Since that's resolved, I can go now?" She looks visibly happy to leave when she asks, and Luciano comments how different she was from before and MC tells him "That was when I wanted to be friendly with you." He asks her, "Does that mean you don't want me to be friends with you now?" And MC comments that 1 year was long enough. Luciano tells her," One year is not enough. Try harder. See you tomorrow" and closes the carriage and before she can speak, it runs off. In the next meeting, she asks him how it was strange that he was pouring her tea, and he said "I poured you tea yesterday, it's not strange." And she's flabbergasted as hell. She doubts if Luciano really wants to be her friend, but she directly asks him why he's so different and why are you so respectful, since the way he refers to her became more polite. He says something along the lines of, "Because you did something worth my respect." And she asks him if it was the cheese muffin incident, and he says yes. She's baffled that he respects her after that since she just threw up everywhere and was humiliated with herself, and assumes that it's her "MC buff" that makes him view anything she does lovable because she's the MC. She assumes the buff came in late and she feels a bit frustrated with the 1 year lost if she could've just done whatever and the MC buff would've just kicked in. She asks him if he wants to be her friend, and he says yes. So far, I'm liking the story. I'm thinking that what's going to happen is MC is going to do these Female Protag-worthy things and when the MLs do fall for her, she's just gonna assume it was her buff instead of her actual actions lol.
