I just tried reading this novel. The more I read, the more it feels like a wish fulfillment story. Also, alternating between cultivation and sci-fi is kinda annoying since I don't really like sci-fi novels.

I think the story would definitely be better without the sci-fi part though. On a further note, the story is actually pretty good.

Edit: I'm editing this in case anyone is interested in this novel.

The author is terrible at pacing the story and skips power levels at certain points. I'm not even sure why he decided to add so many power levels if he's just going to skip them. Furthermore, the story jumps all over the place and there's constantly some new threat appearing even when old threats haven't been quelled. The author also abuses deus ex machina to the point where it's not even surprising any more. It's still worth a read though if you really have nothing else to read but I don't recommend taking the plot too seriously.

 

Sigh people never appreciate good genres like scifi
