I normally avoid mecha stuff like the plague, but I can definitely say that code geass is worth your time.

Easily one of the best shows I've watched.

Code geass is a great, well thought out anime. It is popular partly because the MC is very cool and likable. Not OP but a very intelligent and driven person who was given a power and used it in a similar fashion to Light from DN, though their reasons for trying to change things are different.

. This isnt a average mecha anime, it has good plot and draws a person's interest. The battles are tasteful, witha good amount of strategy aspects to them like it were a game of chess with higher stakes. The characters are fairly well developed and you wont regret liking or hating them. The ending is ambiguous. It is left up to the watchers to decide what ending it has. Lelouche, his ultimate fate is left up to us. I think the jap version has a extra scene at the very end that has been analyzed before due to its implications.

This is a story that i have wished i have never seen, just so i could watchi it for the first time once more.

Lellouch is one hell of an MC. Strategic, smart, vulnerable, human, loving brother and self-sacrificing.

I don't know about 'adoptions' but as for adaptations there are only 2 seasons... It's clear as f*ck.
The others are just specials/OVAs/movies etc.
Next time just type in google: [anime name here] episode list=>click on the wikipedia link and you pretty much get them in release order...:coffee:
As for where to watch it, I personally use kissanime, but that doesn't matter too much.
Mecha... there isn't as much as you think to it. I personally hate mecha anime, including GITS series and Gundam and whatever else there is but I still didn't find a problem with Code Geass and liked it very much...

I don't like when his geass out of control in season 1. But it add more to the story so it's fine.
