I was turning away when suddenly...

One of my biggest gripes with (mostly) Chinese novels is the use of this Trope; Looking for something, finding nothing, about to look away, then just barely see what they were for. I wouldn't mind as much if people either found it while they were looking or came back later and found it, but so many times I've seen almost the exact same wording of "I was about to look away when".
Anyone else mildly annoyed with this?

 

Its kinda like the k-drama one where MC misses the Lover at an intersection/junction. Be it a train station, street, or airport.

 

For me, I'm annoyed that a lot of novel made python into some poisonous snake like wtf, did author ever read about snake or watch it in animal planet like channel? It's kinda sad

 

yeah there's a lot of it like that kinda irks but since its an imaginary world what the heck

 

I prefer this jadelike masterpiece

 

I believe they say this because in China there's a well know White Jade

 

well unlike other snakes apart from anaconda the python is the other most popular snake that constricts its prey to kill it makes a deadly snake much more lethal if you add poison to it. the anaconda is too big to be able to hide you can still get caught off guard by a python cus they can climb trees blend in with forests ect. anaconda is huge it would be boss type monster easy.

Actually anaconda too, killed it preys like how python did and I'm sure python is bigger than anaconda, there's an almost 2m python that live in the abandoned(?) part of my neighbor's garden (he got big garden like hella big nouveau rich), I saw it slithering down the road when I do morning run. But I rarely saw anaconda exceeding 2m when I'm still active at reptile community.
Some of the obvious trait of poisonous snake is their head and I don't think python with poison can be considered as python

I think they are fixing a mistake all apes go through, and that is that when apes are born from eggs they eat their tail to survive and the ones who don't eat their tails end up getting transported to another world. So basically they are showing an ape that wasn't transported

 

have you seen an anaconda in the water?
they are huge and they float you can see it a big yellow thing float in a dark river like a light bulb. they don't go underwater normally.

anaconda are much bigger than python 2 meters is small compared to 10-20 meter anaconda

 

Oh, I see. I've only seen them (moving around) in movies so I thought they went underwater like alligators do
