  3. Nope. It doesn't sounds like that. I hear it clearly, can reproduce it, and easily gain its meaning.

Lol. They make it sound so dramatic... anyway, as I listened, I realized I could barely understand some of it. I wonder if this is true.. Does English really sound like this to non-English speakers? I was thinking of how other languages sound like to me. Even those I know a tiny bit of their language... And it may just be true. lol.

    What do you think?

I have to admit when I first start learning English a decade ago as a child after immigrating to USA, I have to say it basically sound like that. I could somewhat understand reading but listening sometime felt like I am not learning the same stuff. A decade later, my own home language sound like it isn't what I knew

I'm a native spanish speaker, but I don't know how the hell they make it so hard to understand, I mean, I can learn fromfrom science and math videos with no problems, the hardest thing to lisen to that I know of are TV shows where you've gotta know a lot about "recent" things, and that's just because I don't really know what they are tolking about, not the actual language....

But I guess the point of that video is that like they sorta understand what they are saying but they actually have no idea. I was watching and listening to this and I would try and make sense of it and then Id start to think I got it but then suddenly I realise I have no idea what they are saying. And I realise they are speaking... I don't know, gibberish?
Anyhow maybe we sound like gibberish to non-native English speakers and they can decode thay gibberish.. If they are good enough at it

    Who knows really

    It depends on the accent.
Nowadays I can understand most things if pronounced cleary.
But it might sound like that to native enlish speakers when I'm talking :p

What am I watching? Is this trying to say how we understand bits and pieces of sentences or something? Because if they're actually trying to speak proper English...then I feel ashamed as someone who does speak English.

They are purposefully speaking gibberish that sounds similar to regular speech, so native speakers can focus just on how it sounds without understanding anything, and so hear it the same way someone who doesnt know the language hears it ... Thats my theory anyway.
edit: ... I am an idiot who somehow skipped reading your last sentence. :notworthy:
