Do anyone remember ID?
Whatever happened to it . I remember reading it two years back now I suddenly remembered I never completed it.

 

It one of those novels, that people start to translate and they never last that long at it.

 

to really enjoy it the manhwa would be the best option but too bad that the company that made it went bankrupt

 

I read it. Really good. Stopped after a while. Forgot it. Remembered it. Got pissed. Then forgot again.

 

do you mean the novel or manhwa? since everyone seems to be talking about the manhwa...
i think japtem dropped the novel because it was too difficult i think. i thought the manhwa was great and would love for the novel to be translated.

 

I miss this, started with the manhwa, it disappeared, then saw someone was going to do the novel, and that never went far. Hopefully some day we'll get to read the ending.

 

I remember the manwha Id but the novel was a bit on japtem , I did look after it more than that. If you find the full please share

The manhua is good, but it stopped at around 130 chapters. I don't think the novel translation has passed 5 chapters.

 

Novel never got translated past Vol. 1. All TL has dropped it before finishing it.
Quick Clarification : No TL has finished vol.1, think the furthest was v.1 ch.3

The manhwa and novel were working close together, when the publishing company went under, so did both the manhwa and novel.
I think the last RAW was vol 14.

its one of the few novels where i prefer the manhua adaptation

 

Id was essentially my first manhua, too bad it's never going to be finished.

 

The reason ID novel was never continued (and those who attempted it dropped it immediately after) was because of the language used.

ID novel doesn't use modern Korean. It use classical/archaic Korean, so machine translators are unable to translate it. It's like asking a Thai to translate Shakespear using GT. You will get gibberish stuff that nobody can understand. To translate it, you need someone well versed in Korean literature. Half-hearted attempts won't work. I'm not saying that all the Korean LN translators nowadays are lying about being able to read Korean, but if you can't translate ID, then you can't say you're better than MTL.

In comparison, my friend who studied at a university in Korea could barely translate four chapters before falling down in exhaustion. It's that hard.
