If you had a male Japanese Mastiff, would you name him "Steve", "Jack", or "Stan"? Yes, those names are in reference to comic book legends Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, and Stan Lee!

I love your threads man. I never understand a single one of your references, but I always feel like they somehow tie back into that dude you use as your profile picture.

Well, that guy is William Fox, the namesake of Fox Films and Fox News. Before Disney got most of 21CF and ended the Fox movie empire as we knew it/them, Fox does have ties to some Marvel shows/movies. For example, in the 190s a number of Marvel cartoons were broadcast on Fox Kids.

For a bad-ass breed like a Tosa Inu/Japanese Mastiff, which of those 3 names projects a bad-ass persona for a boy of said breed?

My vote goes to Stan. Might be a good idea to make a poll for this to keep track.

is that the cute-faced husky looking breed?
Stan Lee is about the baddest bad- ass the comic world ever had(R.I.P.). Jack Kirby isn't bad either but i'd be thinking of Richard Dean Anderson's character Jack O'Neal if i called him that. so Stan it is. lol

Are you talking about an Alaskan Malamute? A Tosa does have Spitz-type ancestry hy way of the Shikoku dog (a bigger cousin of the Shiba) being used to help develop the breed. However, they are a Mastiff-type breed and the largest of all Japanese dog breeds.

The following is a Tosa named Buddy. At the time of the 2/16/2020 video upload, he was 5 and around 170-175 lbs. He and his owner live near Manitoba, Canada.

It was intended to be named in honor of those 3 comic book legends that I listed. That is why!

I always named these rough looking dogs with equally rough sounding names. So Jack it is.
Be it dogs or cats i prefers them to be fluffy furred but these very short coated dogs ain't bad. They tend to be more obedient and affectionate as well when they're properly disciplined.
