Discussion If you had to....

Survive in a MMORPG or RPG for a year, playing as yourself, how long would you live, and which one would you pick if after the year everything you earned to brought back to Earth? (Money, items, wives, etc)

What do you mean by playing as yourself? Can you level up, get classes and etc?

And what do you mean by pick, didnt you say everything?

 

The ability to absorb books and skills instantly

 

Duh, riches/items (obviously) over creatures that would spend my stash, aka wives.

 

12 - 16 hours a day 6 days a week for 52 weeks ... farming in the starter area ... I might be able to monopolise the copper, boar tusks and intestines market, as well as the ruined leather scraps business once I get back ...

 

Family then, a wife and a child

 

Let's see, with my real skills, not long.

In the only MMORPG I play, FFXIV, I went with white mage (after arcanist disappointed me) and later mained black mage.

What I'd take back in that case would be either my magic or if I found waifus, might not come back at all and keep everything.

 

important questions:
how many cheese can i carry?
how is the healthcare system for knee injuries?
did i try to pass a border and walked right into a imperial ambush?

 

of course, you can level up as per the game rules.

and by pick I mean which game would you pick.

 

I'm not a fighter, so I would choose an mmorpg/rpg that focuses on farming/crafting etc. And/or become a healer! I would bring back my magical powers or if that's not an option, all of my items! Items can be sold for money

 

So you either come back to the real world a saint

or a weapon of mass destruction haha

Well, to be honest, white mage and black mage are both weapons of mass disaster; the first is all about keeping party members suffering and in pain as long as possible, and the second one will at least offer some release.

Well if the white mage loses interest, then the party member is allowed to die.

Otherwise mental collapse isn't really a reason to stop...

...you know, basic jaded veteran healer mentality.

To MMO party members healer isn't only like a god. He is the (malicious and evil) God, and whoever (in party) disagrees, may die like trash they are.

If I had to choose a game. I guess eso (elder scrolls online).
As to what I’d bring back. I probably don’t want to be dissected. Or killed for my stuff. And I only have a year.
I guess my list would be...
1, Wife’s
2. Bags of holdings
3. High level healing potions (cure cancer or something)
4. Skill scrolls
5. Gold
6. Pet (one that can disguise itself)
7. A return spell (both ways would be nice)
