I'm bored so I decided to post a poll. I have asked this of a number of people and since I am bored I will ask it here just to see how people will answer it. You find yourself in a room with a single door in the middle of the room that doesn't seem to lead anywhere. Next to the door you find a book and on the first page is the following This room is the intersection of multiple worlds. You may walk through this door to transport yourself to any world that you so wish. If you go through the door you will never be able to return to your original world, but if you have not gone through the door within an hour you will be returned to your own world and you will forget this ever happened. There are various other things noted down including the fact that you do not get any overpowered cheat and will only be given basic supplies to get started with. You will also be able to understand, read, and communicate in any language that you come across. 1) Would you go through the door? 2) If so what kind of world would you choose? If not, why? 3) If you had the ability to return to your world one time after you go through the door would that change your choice? Edit: Thought I covered this with the no overpowered cheat thing, but you are treated by the world as a normal inhabitant.
1.) Yep 2.) Fantasy modern, just cause I probably wouldn't die the moment I get there 3.) Probably not. Nothing here I would miss.
1.yes 2.medieval fantasy or modern cultivation ( flip a coin for choose) 3.no but it 'll be good to see my family one last time
None would be guaranteed to be safe. The one with the least danger for a normal citizen who didn't stray from safe zones would probably be scifi or modern fantasy You're treated as a normal inhabitant of the world you choose. No matter which world you go to you will need to make a living.
Eh, then I'll just go for cultivation. I can just hide in a hole until I am strong enough to ensure my survival.
1) Would you go through the door? No, I'm quite satisfied with my current life and there are people I wouldn't want to leave behind. 2) If so what kind of world would you choose? If not, why? A relaxing one, I think. 3) If you had the ability to return to your world one time after you go through the door would that change your choice? No, not really. I'm not a huge fan of traveling and it's already difficult to get me excited about visiting a foreign country/location. I really only like vacations for their relaxation component.
1) Would you go through the door? Probably not 2) If so what kind of world would you choose? If not, why? There are things, that might not exist in the other world, and no one knows how life will be there without some everyday usual things, I mean like toilets, internet, etc... and who knows how life would turn out to be in a different world with no cheats, so, I will probably not go... probably 3) If you had the ability to return to your world one time after you go through the door would that change your choice? Yes, maybe
1) Would you go through the door? Probably not. I have a good life with a good job and decent pay. Starting over would be hard. 2) If so what kind of world would you choose? If not, why? Well, I covered the why not above. If I did choose, it would be Fantasy (medieval): Modern people are trash. I'd like to go back to an era where common decency and chivalry still existed. Where women still wore nice clothes as the norm. (I'm fucking bored of seeing yoga pants + T-shirt as the new norm) Having my modern knowledge would already be a kind of cheat. Fantasy! I want to go on an adventure and see new things that don't exist here. 3) If you had the ability to return to your world one time after you go through the door would that change your choice? I would be more willing to go if I had the opportunity to come back and tie up loose ends here & take care of those left behind: Say goodbye to people I care about. Destroy sensitive documents. Sell all my shit. Increase my life insurance. Take some time to study up on more things I might find useful in the new world.
