    The ending for this one is just... it makes you hope until the last second and then you can only think "well... yeah, sometimes that's how life goes" :confused:

    Angel Beats, Ano Hana.
    And for Grave of Fireflies, I only watched the opening scene, because after watched that, I know this anime will make me not good, for along time.

    Clannads second season got so over the top that I started laughing tbh. If you want a good mix go with Angel Beats, though it does rush towards the end of the series.

    Most of the Studio Ghibli films. You'll just have warm feelings deep in your chest trying to burst out which ends up as tears, be it happy or sad.

    Puella Magi Madoka Magica

    I cried so hard at the last episode. *sniffs*

    It may appear to be the typical magical girl anime, but once you start watching it gets really sad, deep, and gruesome (in the death aspect).

    It's really good, and the plot is gorgeous. The friendship and love is so true... *wahwah* it really hit my feels. The ending...

    This actually doesn't fit in here because it's a manga... but, what about Spirit Circle? It isn't really a melancholic tearjerker though...
    It indeed is um... sad? But after what, 3 years? You'll (possibly) think; it sure was a weird one. Good, but weird. No offense. Btw, there was also a crossover with Doraemon.

    Twas indeed a tearjerker.
    Haven't seen the movie yet, but I already know that whatever you do, if you have a time-travel power when the world in not in danger; NEVER use it. It always end bad and makes one feel sad.

    You're right it was weird, in fact the only reason I watched it was because I thought it looked cute. After the last episode I was pretty much about to throw my mom's laptop away (this was like three years ago)

    It was a strange one, (that's probably why I never rewatched it), but it still was really sad and I liked the story.
