I'm looking for novel in a league like Ze Tian Ji, Tales of Herding Gods, World of Cultivation, Nightfall, etc. I want to read a novel with multidimensional characters, with a good writing and a good philosophy behind it. I want something good, and I know good thing is rare. But I hope there is some hidden gems, that I have yet to read.
Request seems a bit vague, but based on these novels, I guess you want power fantasies with over-arching plots and characters, not one-time use plot devices, and stories where the MC actually has setbacks. Here are some Chinese power fantasies that I think you'll like: The Godsfall Chronicles Lord of the Mysteries (I highly recommend it) Embers Ad Infinitum Cultivation Chat Group (more comedic than serious on the early arcs) History's Number 1 Founder (this is a parody novel) Pivot of the Sky Night's Nomenclature (I highly recommend it) Reverend Insanity (but this got axed)
I personally enjoyed Er Gen's books two books and thought they might fit into this as well; Pursuit of Truth Renegade Immortal
