Uwaaaaaahhhahaahh ༼;´༎ຶ ༎ຶ༽ I just watched the trailer of a new anime, Bubble, and I realised that the title is similar to my newest novel for which I'm still working, Bubble City, *blow nose*. Welp, I think that even the story is almost the same, where everything floats. So what should I do? I don't want people to consider my original idea as a plagiarism of the anime, Bubble. Well, not really plagiarism but sort of copy pasting and changing a bit of the story *blow nose*. Should I continue working on this novel? *Hug my legs* Ooh, link to the trailer of the anime: Anyway Merry Christmas everyone and here's some biscuits
I say just do what you want. Besides every idea you can think of has already been done in one form or another. Don’t live in fear. Do what you want to do. If be some miracle it is the same. Just write in the beginning about your concerns. That way people won’t get the wrong idea
Settings always get overused, as long as your story (characters and their relationships, plot, way of narrating) is different, all is good. Is the anime the same genre as your story? Are you afraid of attracting reader who would be fan of this anime? Watching the trailer reminded me of why I don't watch anime. It was lovely, but I didn't get hyped up. Would watch it if it was a film tho.
