He needs a saviour, he needs a Truck-kun!
Now he meets truck san and become a isekai MC
Nothing important. Basically one of the most virulent shit posters on NUF decided to write something about the controversy caused by the excessive microtransactions forced upon players in the new Star Wars Battlefront, which caused a lot of bad press and EA to backtrack. The stock will go back up, microtransactions are still here to stay. The only thing is some bad PR for a few months (and probably some longer-lasting memes)
I feel like this, and I quote "poor fucker" is you just because of how detailed this rant is
Ooooh Are you trying to call me the "Poor fucker?"
Nah m8. That guy was probably fired from E.A and black listed. Even if he wanted to try and get a job somewhere else, I doubt anyone would hire a guy who thought it was a good idea to put Micro Transactions into a game, and then that game sold terribly. And the company lost billions of dollars because of his decision.
Honestly, whoever it is dug their own grave, and EA is just burying themselves under the coffin.
Yeah, and forget the nails. The whole thing is a molten hot mess of Politics, cooperate bullshittery, and internet wrath. They will be lucky if this whole thing blows over at all. With politics in the picture, this is gonna be nasty
Except that guy is the current CEO. He started the "lootboox" system with Ultimate Team in UEFA soccer games. Then continued it in Fifa, then moved onto every sport game, then to ME2, then Dead Space 3, then ME3, then ME:A, then SW:BF2 EA, then to UFC3. He's done this consistently and killed numerous IP's and studio's along the way. It's gonna suck to be the next CEO to try and climb out of the hole Mr. Wilson has dug by killing off almost all of EA's IP.
Hehe...serves them right!
I wonder why no one has mentioned the fiasco with UFC 3's microtransactions in the beta. seems like its a lot worse in that than battlefront
rlly? Do tell!
No need to look far.. Look at steam.. Look at Gaben... They didn't care about a single thing..
well initially it sounded like it was for the whole game but saw an update that it was only on a single mode of online play, but people were making noise that UFC 3 was pay to win cause in the Ultimate team mode, you customize your fighters stats/skills/techniques by getting them from loot boxes that you can buy using real money. and each technique has something like a star rating or something like that where a 5 star jab from a loot box was a lot stronger an the basic 1 star jab. loot boxes also has temporary boosts for things like stamina. long story short, people could pay money to buy more loot boxes to make their team hit harder and fight longer.
I'm not saying you're a poor fucker but it seems like you are the guy who lost the company billions, the only reason I say this is because your rant was very specific
It was meant to be. Just imagine how you would feel after losing your company billions.
I'll be honest I bought the 2005 version so I have no idea what's going on here.
I think they just got fired, like it is usual on game companies, and is searching for a new job on a new game company that will probably hire them for 1 or 2 projects before firing them again... Again, like the norm in game companies.
too long didn't read
But anyway: don't complain about doing the job you're getting paid to do, NO SYMPATHY
That mentality doesn't make much sense, everyone has the right to complain and try to improve their own conditions.
If I was working 48h/week at a night shift to earn a minimum wage, you can rest assured I'd complain tons about my job.
Of course, complaining and quitting are two completely different things, I'd quit only when I got something better, but I think anyone on that condition would have all the right in the world to complain about things.
