Author Kotoko has a hunch of light novels that got manga adapted but this one is manga only. Can't jump ahead.
Sister heard Cecil when she arrived and thought of using all the knowledge of unwanted talks from Ichika to prove she is Ichika. It's easier to live if she hooks up with a prince.
so the maidens from another world are considered precious and it's customary for them to marry the royal family however they don't have a choice and if they try to run, they get punished. how very contradictory and not to mention it only benefits the royal family because the maidens are basically forced to marry into it random thought but; what's to stop a maiden from just killing herself? will they try to cover it up as an assassination? because it could be a quite a blow to the royal family's reputation if a precious maiden would rather kill herself than be trapped in marriage "precious" my ass, more like "beneficial" or "exploitable".
No there's something worse.... a whole the size of the title, lol. Why did the OGkaren need to pretend to be her sis if all she needed to be to marry him was from another world, lol. Yeah affection is great but eventually her lie will be found out but then what? By those traditions they still have to get married? So why hide it for so long in the first place? I am curious how this will all come to pass but that whole is glaring and I'm wondering what type of writing will erase it, lol.
oh wow, that fact completely flew over my head, because she most likely immediately introduced her as "ichika" without even knowing if the person ichika told her about from the mirror, was still alive. they could explain it away that prince guy called her "ichika" in a questioning manner and she just thought "yeah, whatever" i just hope that ichika gets to go back home
Fantasy Shoujo Mangas like this one can be very toxic and misogynistic instead of empowering & thought-provoking for the sake of wealth porn + glamorous melodrama romance + glorifying the royal imperial life.... To become a pincess or goddess OR worthy enough of the shiny Prince ML, the FL has to suffer a lot to get this reward. It's the cheap outdated Evil Twin/Doppelgänger Trope all over again that I find very annoying..! Spoiler: The Doppelgänger Motif in "A Stolen Life" Video In this video, I discuss how 1946's A Stolen Life, starring Bette Davis, utilized the doppelgänger motif to highlight societal values of the time. Alicia Nyblade As an identical twin myself, I always find stories that do the "good twin, bad twin" thing hilarious. What, do they think because we share DNA we have to split a personality between us, too? XD v2krpl37dh That's so true. Most twin movies seem to just be using twins as a metaphor for the split nature of the individual (often, like here, some kind of Freudian id/ego v superego conflict), which must be really annoying if you're a twin! doombuggy123 Narrator: “Katie’s style makes her bland” Katie: has more style and fashion sense in her little finger than I do in my whole life Jerald Collins The moral of the story is to keep an eagle eye on your sibling if you happen to be an identical twin. Spoiler: Friends: Ursula and the History of the “Evil Twin” Video Meo Gato Preto As a twin, I always find this trope very problematic.... Not because the things you talk about in the video (that makes me look to the trope on a very different way). It's because in a more literal interpretation (at least for me in childhood), it looks like everyone in media is saying: "you are exactly the same as someone else, so the ONLY way that you could have your own identity is being the exact opposite of your sibling". Buuuut.... If your identity is based on a reflex of a others person behavior, how you could say it is YOUR identity? It's a paradox @~@ Darius Cole Yeah i know how you feel. Im also an identical twin. We were pushed into having different likes because they couldnt tell otherwise. Even in football. I hated playing offense all it ever was was waiting for people to hit you. But because my twin also played we couldnt be on the same side. I once got accused of cheating because my brother and i got the same points for our SOLs. We were on the opposite sides of the building with different teachers. Ana Duarte Thank youu! I hate this trope so much! The good/evil, smart/dumb, pretty/ugly twin is so frustrating, my twin sister was pick on a lot by TEACHERS because she didn't get grades as good as mine in math and sciences, because "why are you not like your sister?". Also people (including adults) always treating us like one single person with the same tastes and opinions, people are really suprised to know after finding out that I'm a vegetarian that my sister is not. And why does this happen? Because that's how it's portrayed in media. They are completly similar and don't have a personality of their own, or they are the oposite of each other. The FL OG Ishika is the typical good sister who is so shy, nice and innocent pure that she gets easily dominated + manipulated by her bad selfish amoral sister OG Karen. Basically she is the bright eyed pushover lead whose beauty + goodness will evtl win over the royal princes and overshadow her evil sister's fakeness... Seriously, for once I wanna see more a strong healthy sister duo in this genre where the one sister isn't a white lotusgreen tea bitch that can easily exploit and backstab her naive guillable softie sister! Or better an independent smart FL who doesn't give a crap about her shitty (twin) jealous sister's situation thus not buying any of her bullshit!
Countess and the Blade starts out that way until the story shifts to one of the sister turning into a damsel in a love triangle with two guys. They maintain a great and supportive relationship through the whole story though. Would recommend for great sister pairs. Not isekai but an adjacent shojo — kinda european nobility ambience story.
Oh, I know this story under 'Cheerful Countess Sisters' and it really pissed me off that the badass younger taller mercenary half-sister who was supposed to be the major deutergonist was suddenly sidelined after she fell in love very easily with her love-interest at their first meeting, gets quickly pregnant by him while being stupidly drunk and then gets replaced by the typical sad poor duke prince ML fighting with his crown prince brother over his FL... I hated that direction! As we haven't seen enough dumb edgy melodramatic love triangles.... I personally prefer and recommend this story about half-step-sisters: I Raised Cinderella Preciously / A Wicked Tale of Cinderella's Stepmom https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/i_raised_cinderella_preciously/ https://tapas.io/series/a-wicked-tale-of-cinderellas-stepmom/info My mother-in-law and sister-in-law who don't bully me./いびってこない義母と義姉 https://forum.novelupdates.com/threads/my-mother-in-law-and-sister-in-law-who-dont-bully-me-いびってこない義母と義姉.156672/#post-7215127
Is this one where the FL turns out to be the one with true power and the fake saintess loses her power. There was something like that in another one, but I can't recall the name. Where both were taken by mistake and FL was looked down on.
Was his sister punished after everyone found out she wasn't ichika? Or what happens when everyone finds out that she's not ichika?
