Why It Should Get Picked Up:
The most obscure Alternate History novel ever (That was only ever published in Korean and Japanese) that CJ Entertainment shamelessly rip-offed for “2009: Lost Memories” which lead to Bok Geo-il himself suing CJ Entertainment after the movie came out. Taking place in an alternate timeline where An Jung-geun failed to assassinate Ito Hirobumi, which lead to Ito Hirobumi living long enough until his unfortunate death in 1925, Imperial Japan never becoming a part of the Axis Powers, the Pacific War never happening, America nuking Bremen and Dresden instead of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the remaining pieces of Korean culture and independence being forced to become a Government-In-Exile located in Shanghai, the DPRK thankfully never existing, and Taiwan, Korea, Kwantung, Manchukuo, Sakhalin, the Kuril islands and the South Pacific Mandate still being Japanese colonies to this very day. And of course seeing how this is a timeline where the DPRK thankfully never existed thanks to Korea being a Japanese colony to this very day, half of China got divided ever since the Cold War instead of Korea (With North China (Capital: Beijing) being Communist, and South China (Capital: Nanjing) being Capitalist). And in case your curious as to why the British Raj and French Indochina are still together in this timeline, well... funny story actually! Imperial Japan never becoming a part of the Axis Powers and the Pacific War never happening caused the U.K., the Netherlands, America, Belgium, France and Portugal to still be colonial empires to this very day! Also WWII in this timeline lasted from 1942–1947 instead of 1939–1945.
    Description:
Ito Hirobumi did not die at the Harbin Station in 1909. And Korea is still a Japanese colony to this very day.

As of today, Imperial Japan has now officially become the world's third largest superpower right next to America and the Soviet Union.

Korea itself is completely wiped out of it's history, language and culture, and nobody knows the truth that Korea used to be an independent country.

However, Hideyo Kinoshita (木下英世) (A 39 year old Japanese-born Korean salaryman born in Seishu (Formally known as Cheongju)) has discovered the truth that Korea used to be independent. And now, Hideyo has now set off for the search of the erased epitaph.

    ----------
Since this year (2019) is the 100th anniversary of Korea's March 1st independence movement, I'm hoping somebody picks this novel up in honor of the 100th anniversary of Korea's March 1st independence movement.

Also, I tried to ask the guys over at alternatehistory.com and the Alternate History subreddit to translate this obscure Alternate History novel for me... and they never responded to me with a DOC file of the English translated version.

BTW I never read the novel (I don't live in Korea or Japan) (Mainly because it was never published in English), I only got the premise of this novel off of namu.wiki with Google Translate: https://namu.wiki/w/비명을 찾아서

You know, call me crazy but... for me, I honestly think the world would be a better place to live if An Jung-geun failed to assassinate Ito Hirobumi which lead to Imperial Japan never becoming a part of the Axis Powers, seeing how there would be no war in Vietnam (Because French Indochina is still together in this timeline) and there would be no DPRK (Because Korea is still a Japanese colony in this timeline) (But we have to put up with North China's BS instead which kinda sucks!), so I decided to ponder about what would later happen in such a timeline:
    * Samsung (Oh my bad, I meant to say "Sansei (三星)"!) getting own by NEC
    * Kia getting own by Toyota
    * Hyundai (Oh my bad, I meant to say "Gendai (現代)"!) getting own by Nissan (Which lead to Nissan having a much brighter future in the Japanese auto industry thanks to Gendai being held in Nissan's hands)
    * The original Gundam anime becoming a really big hit that lasted for 52 episodes instead of a really big flop that got cancelled after only 43 episodes, knowing that Imperial Japan never became a part of the Axis Powers (It's because Zeon are Space Nazis isn't?) (Which means unused concepts like the MS-10 “Pezun Dowadge”, the MS-12 “Gigan”, the MS-13 “Gasshia”, the MS-17 “Galbaldy Alpha”, the EMS-05 “Agg”, the MSM-04G “Juaggu”, the MSM-04N “Agguguy”, the MSM-08 “Zogok”, the MSN-01 “Kikeroga”, and the FF-4 “Toriares” managed to make it into the anime after all!)
    * Ideon becoming a really big hit that lasted for 43 episodes instead of a really big flop that got cancelled after only 39 episodes
    * "Barefoot Gen" and "Grave of the Fireflies" taking place in Germany instead of Japan
    * The 1988 Nagoya Olympics happening instead of the 1988 Seoul Olympics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Nagoya_1988_bid_logo.png (Which later lead to the 2008 Osaka Olympics happening instead of the 2008 Beijing Olympics: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Osaka_2008_Olympic_bid_logo.svg )
    * Amati (Mazda's proposed overseas Luxury brand) actually taking off: https://cdn.snsimg.carview.co.jp/minkara/userstorage/000/020/408/174/edf716604c.jpg ), https://cdn.snsimg.carview.co.jp/minkara/userstorage/000/020/408/175/eb60247636.jpg
    * The Sega-Bandai merger actually taking off (Which lead to Sega never leaving the console industry, and the downfall of Sonic the Hedgehog never happening thanks to Sonic being held in Bandai's hands)
    * Anime as we know it never being screwed over by Yaoi trash, Moe trash, Visual Novel trash, Light Novel trash, and Isekai trash
    * "Team America" and "The Interview" making fun of North China instead of the DPRK
    * Maybe God's mistakes themselves such as "Twilight", MLP:FIM, RWBY, "Steven Universe", "Rick & Morty", FNAF/Sister Location, Undertale/Deltarune, "The Loud House", DDLC, "Fortnite" and "Baldi's Basics" never existing
    * Nickelodeon Japan never losing viewership and never getting taken off the air in September 2009 (Which lead to the Japanese dub of "Paw Patrol" premiering in 2015 instead of 2019)
    * Bernie winning the 2016 election instead of Trump (Which lead to the Alt-Right never rising to power, nobody believing all of the fake news that comes out of Sargon, No BS, Right Wing Watch, Hunter Avallone, Steven Crowder, Alex Jones, Paul Joseph Watson and Mark Dice’s mouths, and nobody believing that drinking Soy causes you to look feminine)

Also no Twilight means no 50 Shades of Grey, no MLP:FIM means no Bronies/Pegasisters, and no Rick & Morty means no Mcdonald's Szechuan Sauce riot... Welp, I can live with that!
