Well that was an interesting info I've learned today~
Yeah the work in question is not peer-reviewed. Incest is not the focus, but that Mothers over indulge their sons with affection that they in turn look for similar traits from their potential wives. There are a number of issues in Japan to start with objectively such as long work hours, no paternity leave, high living costs for small spaces in major cities, then this emotional intelligence.
A number of collectivist nations suffer it because parents and adult children usually live together preventing independence while fostering co-dependence. Whereas, Individualistic nations tend to suffer from indifference and loneliness.
In China, the government hides nearly all bad news so people do not panic when things do not go their way. The citizens are so coddled by the government that any sign of frustration may cause individuals to go on knife stabbing sprees. The victims usually bystanders and children. Any grievance the citizens have with the government is directed towards the lower ranking party members or children (future of the nation).
I'm going to go click the random button 4 times on nhentai and write a sociology paper on whatever the results seem to say now.
.... Ew...... That type of thing is acceptable if it's within h-anime ... But in rl..... Man I feel disgusted..... I was kinda shocked at first after reading this, and tbh.... The I had respect for them is ruined......
Why...? ...Are you assuming, ...perhaps, ..that all Japanese people are incestuous?
No... Of course all of them can't be like that...
But.... Suppose I interact with a Japanese in future, then that thought of incest will hover on my mind whenever I interact with them.... After all I'm not sure if the person before me is a mf pervert or something....
...Is that not the case with everyone...? Pretty sure most of the world is full of sexual deviants...
You don't need to assume anything of anyone. Just keep in the back of your mind that anyone you know can possibly be a psycho killer, deranged pervert, etc. underneath that friendly, polite facade and keep your eyes peeled for red flags.
No..... Not everyone... I'll not have to consider if the person before me is a mf or not everytime. I think it's a subconscious thing after I've learnt about their(Japanese) incestuous nature.... Because of that I'll start to consider all of them as such or feel like it even if they're not like that...
Well, that's creepy. That said, the warnings at train stations is true.
Like everyone said before I would like to see the actual data for this theory. But yes co dependency is really bad, I think mama-complex is pretty bug issue in the east Asia side overall though
ah the crop view point hmmm no its more like one part pov?
it kinda interesting view toward family live, it try to connect why incest between motherxson combo but not other? how about broxsis combo which imo more common theme tho? there also oyakodon but it maybe not part of incest...' eh dunno~
as for mamasan bar imo that quite bold statement to say relationship with incest but if we try to prove the working man seeking comfort on escort bussines then yes its ok~ seeking mother figure cuz they are the emotional comfort support zone while the father not really mentioned~ this raise question why? why mother not father?
seeing citizen as children, buahaha! imo nope their control system is like machine~ sure this cat dunno much about sociology of japan, still imo maybe we also need to see how the working class treatment on job site, the mindset of boss ect which sometime this cat shake it tail~
Meh, your opinion means dogshit against my overpowered authority fallacy. /s
i hate incest and mother complex so much
Take this shit with a massive fistful of salt. Terry McCarthy exclusively writes tabloid-esque articles that paint a negative image of Japan and Korea.
Well in general Japanese men are also egoistical, insecure and usually cannot bear having a wife or romantic relationship with someone with better wit or prospects than them which is why some if not majority of female heroines in their fiction are pretty stupid or easily manipulated, like sure we foreigners find it cute while seeing it on a screen but irl I bet we honestly think that it isn't too good of a trait for a serious relationship. Emotional Incest honestly isn't so far off either seeing how weak their mentality can be so eh. Concerning yes. Shocking no.
Are you really basing a generalization of the entirety of Japanese men based on their fringe media? Have you ever even read Japanese media that wasn't part of otaku culture? This is Orientalism at its finest. Let's take Western Fantasy novels as an example. Three popular titles, off the top of my head, are The Wheel of Time series, The Name of the Wind series, and the Gentlemen Bastard series.
In all of these, the women are reduced to a single stereotypically female trait, respectively Overbearing Bitches, Naive Sluts, and Overly Emotional and Manipulative Vixen.
And these books that are considered "well written" by critics and fans alike, selling tons of copies, and are considered masterpieces by the Fantasy novel community. Imagine judging Western women through the lens of these works. You'd think the West was shithole, wouldn't you?
Your take is ignorant at best and racist at worst.
I admit my take on saying that I took reference from their fiction was wrong and yes not every man will be the same. But it's the truth when I say that some girls get turned down just because of the fact that they went to a better school and so sometimes they'd just pretend to be going to another school just so they'd have a higher chance. It's must've also been the way I typed and my wording was much now that I had reread my message but what I meant to say was that Japanese men tend to just stay in their comfort zone, easily intimidated, shy and would rather settle with someone they feel is equal to them rather than being reliant on their girl because they want to be the one dominant over their relationship. While it's definitely not everyone a lot of them it's pretty much a norm and stereotype for them. Anyway sorry for my wrong and ty ty I hope you have a great day.
