    Hi i was wondering, if a mother and son had sex and the mother got pregnant, would the child be the sons sibling? just innocent curiosity.

    Half sibling, yes. And normal 'son' at the same time. The second takes precedence. (It's the more immediate relationship)

    I'm not explaining how I know.

    for brother sister relationships, it would be the same, son and half brother/sister (i think...)

    Brother sister incest yields a son and nephew or daughter and niece, but once again the more distant relationship (nephew/niece) is ignored in favor of the more direct one (son/daughter) in the official registries.

    It only gets complicated when cousins get involved. Then you actually have to start recording the complex family tree and marking down multiple relationships.
