While I think I 'll forget most parts....it's good to know the flow of history without going into too much details...thanks for sharing everyone...
That's how history goes about .... But the adaptation to local culture is prevalent everywhere .... Heck even Christmas is said to be held on a pagan festival day
I was actually asking for a summary of the story but the synopsis is fine too..hehe. And in fact, since I was doing nothing, I tried my hand on it.. Spoiler Vrey, Wild Cat gang's skilled thief, accustomed to using any kind of way to get what she wants. Valadin, a respected Elvar who lived his life as an Eldynn, a holy knight who vows to protect his kind. Their story are intertwined in Ther Melian, A small tropical continent shrouded in mist and mystery. Vrey hunted for a legendary treasure dreamed by every thief. While Valadin carried out a secret mission to bring back his nation's glory. Each of their own quest bought them into an amazing adventure, and eventually bring them to meet each other.... What will happen next? Will they end up as friends or foes? This is the start of their story..
A successful religion is either based on compulsion (convert or active discrimination/die) or syncretism (adding new meaning on old practices). Also perhaps we need more Indonesia --> English Translator (not me! I'm busy as it is)
Lol in that case Hinduism is an odd one out... Coz we don't have the concept of convertion...as for discrimination: haha no comments coz I don't want to dig my own grave... As for Indonesian novels I wanna have a look coz the novels presents the type of society they are based on: Japanese transported MC shows the high work load peaceful war free naive life they lead .. not to mention herbivore protagonist coz of their back breaking schedule Chinese xinxia represents the sheer lack of opportunities in their life snd how they literally have to struggle for the most basic of improvement in their lives... Hence their frustration against the @Umpteenth Young Master ... Who have everything handed to them at a silver platter Korean again is highly competitive society but no stupid peace bullshit coz of their war with north koreans .... So they are ruthless when required..... Let's see how the Indonesian society turns out
Not really, thai novels are accepted, but i believe it is restricted to a certain part of asia and I don't know if Indonesian novels are accepted.
really? I'm pretty sure @Tony has made it clear several times... summoning him so he can do it again o/
heeeyyyyy... count me in... wiro sableng or any bastian tito novel was a blessing for me in my teen.. cant wait..
A very complete brief overview. But I'd like to make a case against the last paragraph (no relation with novels, though). Nahdatul Ulama is affiliated with PKB, while PKS is affiliated with Ikhwanul Muslimin (Egypt) and AKP (Turkey). Some NU people are going against the direction of their leader to PKS, which make it rather cracked in recent years. Even among Muhammadiyah people, there are those that tend to go toward PKS, against their leader wishes to strengthen PAN.
Extramarital relationships are punishable by jail time in Indonesia, so even though I haven't read the novel before, pretty sure it isn't NTR... Actually, Indonesia do have awesome novels, if you are looking at old novels like the ones written by Marah Rusli, Abdoel Moeis, HAMKA, etc. And in recent years, there's Andrea Hirata. More social critique than fantasy material, though. I thought I saw Philippine novel and Thai novel somewhere in NU, though... If Asian novels Non-KCJ is not allowed in the NU directory, how about if we make a specific thread in NUF to list them?
http://forum.novelupdates.com/threa...l-from-a-different-asian-country.17276/page-2 Null just posted a list.
Probably because there are no other options..or..they are smuggling them into NU. Lol, jokes aside, I think the mods are aware of them though.
well in previous threads similar.. well threads asking if they were allowed to translate and have these types of novels in their, Tony said no and Tony is the owner of NU... so I'm not sure.....
