Sorry but I can't answer most of your questions, it led to many major spoilers.
    For Serena/Anna (just some thought):
    - She had a urge of "making a child". As Anna, she is the last of her clan (definitely want an heir). As Serena, she does the same for Michael Corvin in Underworld 1 (and result in a daughter in Underworld 4: Awakening)
    - Shen Yi didn't make a choice of word carefully (or author did make a choice of word carefully). As I remember, he said something similar to "renew my bloodline". The important part is "blood", not "line(age)". Either I or Serena misunderstand here :)

What a info dump of a chapter! I didn't need three fourths of a chapter to be a description of "Manhattan took a lot of damage during the mutant battles".

I am. Was just saying. I'm also not a fan of excessive details in some novels, although IA isn't that bad.

Ok, but don't skip all of these details. The author likes foreshadowing and dropping hints. For example, you can re-read the first half of v3c19 and try to guess what will happen in later chaps. :)
“Oh, the zipper is broken, I re-sew a few buttons.”
“There will be no problem. He’s only a mutant boy with the ability to fix cars. Moreover, he’s sleeping.”

I hope IA can faze out of all the actual descriptions for skills mid battle. TI has a lot, a lot of issues, but I liked the way it shows abilities. The mc gives a observation of the skill and the enemy to gloat will give a short summary of the ability. Simple, a bit cliche, but not overbearing.

IA would do better to keep the battles fast pace as possible. They could ask the mc how he did so much damage after the battle, and he could just say what it was, or give a vague idea how he did it while us the reader can read between the lines.

    There are justifications for that:
    - In mission world, everybody can become your enemy at any moment (For example, Shen Yi currently teamed up with Western adventurers, but they were used to be opponents and could become opponents in the future). So almost no adventurer explain about his/her abilities. If Lena asked Shen Yi "how does your bullets have such damage", he certainly wouldn't answer. Lena knew that, so she didn't ask.
    - IA is different from TI, it has a system. Like in a game, you took info from system messages. (I can't explain more clearly since it'll give many spoilers)
Skill descriptions will decrease in later books.

That equipment at the end took up way too much of the chapter.

And I thought of this before, but starting from difficulty 2 are there still separation of regions? From what I got it didn't feel that way since that trading area wasn't called east or anything. Does that mean region and race loyalties get phased out? I hope so. IA isn't bad with regions and races, but you can still kind of see it.

Lol what's with the spoiler? Is the next world going to be (world of)? warcraft or something? (Though all the icons and the death knight model etc was from warcraft 3)

p.s. also you're the TL or editor or something, right?

p.p.s why use arthas death knight model for lich king?

Separation of regions was from Difficulty Level 1 to 5. But in Difficulty Level 1 they rarely go to other Region, so nobody mentioned it.
And region and race loyalties play a MAJOR role in later books. It is the first hint about Bloody City's biggest secret.

    - I just want to create illustration. You can see more sneak peek in my Pantreon. And yeah, I am IA's translator.
    - No, the Warcaft book will appear much later.
In story plot Bloody City created, Lich King Ner'zhul ascended to Hell and joined Burning Legion. After that, Arthas became Demon God after "cultivation" (?). Thus he, as the highest leader of Undead, received the title "Lich King" (You can see that he still has 4 skill of Death Knight, only Frost Nova is Lich's skill.

So does it get bad with racism? I've found myself disliking and dropping novels for two reasons. Too OP and racism, so things like God and Devil World and Shura's Wrath. I don't mind if its a small plot device to flesh out why you should hate some characters, but when its the mc its a big turn off. Didn't like how one of his comrades just assumed that he and a Japanese would rather kill each other than work together.

And this mc kind of feels open about the potential of cooperation between regions if possible and hates pointless killings, so will he later build a guild or sect that accepts everyone regardless of race or region? Does such a group appear at all, or for whatever this secret of is its impossible.

You can rest assured: This novel had very little racism (just the novel itself. Many characters were racists, that led to Region's existence in the beginning)
And MC made friends with people of other race and region... (Sorry to end here, but I can't tell more without give spoiler.)

So when the mc goes to the common district to trade, they were all eastern adventurers?
