I think the problem is that the MC doesn't realize that he is cultivating at an insane speed - so he reacts 'like you would normally do', just totally ignoring the fact that he creates these reactions ongoing.

 

Yeah, like the story mentioned , he took like 2 months to go through most of Xiantian first order, 'where normally people take 10 years'. If he keeps this speed up he'd be Saint in a couple of years.
At one point he did state this though, when people talked about him being able to become a saint one day , something like 'and that day is much sooner than you'd think'.
The writer seems to be milking it from both ends.

Just wondering, but am I the only one who feels like the romance subplot came out of nowhere to get the MC into this mess with the Deitie's Temple and some random asshole? Like, it feels flat from a characterization standpoint for one thing.

 

He just went from "ugh I don't wanna marry you" to "I love you with all my heart" after a second
