I’m part of the people who can’t visualize models in my head, which is apparently not normal. If the only color you can visualize is black, that’s basically what Aphantasia is.
So you have aphantasia? If you read a story book, you can't imagine the stuff happening? You can't have dreams (or have them rarely and are incapable of remembering anything about them besides strong emotions like fear and excitement)? Yeah, I hear it's a rare condition.
So how about those easily lost even with a map? And the new game + mode of no map. The two navigation camps of directions vs landmarks have a new player joining them.
Unfortuantely that is an ability that the majority of people have, if you can't do it, the rare one is actually you, no insult intended. It's a necessary skill for design and construction, the ability to "see ahead" and predict what the end product looks like or anything built would simply be gueswork.
Yeah I know. But your ability sounds like a superpower. The ability to imagine a Rubik’s cube, turn it around, and solve it all in your head? Really?
That would be too many details to keep track of for me. For me, imagining things is similar to how I see things in real life- I only pay real attention to a small part of the space while the rest becomes vague and lacks detail (or even just disappears if you forget about it or don't put a bit of thought about it existing). The difference between imagination and real life is that in your imagination, when you "look away", the things in your periphery don't magically stay the same if you try to imagine it again. It becomes easier if you don't focus so much on the details of the things, and just whether or not they exist. That way you can focus on a lot more things at once and create an actual place in your head.
.... Isn't that how you're supposed to solve a Rubik's cube? If you can't plan ahead, then all that will happen is you solving one square only to find you messed up all the rest.
No? You uses an algorithm to solve a Rubik cube. If one side of the cube looks like A, perform these X amount of moves to make it look like B. https://ruwix.com/the-rubiks-cube/how-to-solve-the-rubiks-cube-beginners-method/
How do you think the algorithm was created in the first place? Read the last 2 words on your link. "Beginners method".
