It is a clear-cut case if they're truly dead. But they are not dead, never been magically reanimated and therefore, killing them would fall under the same law as killing another human being. What Ai-chan was asking, is if the law would agree that your self-preservation overrides their rights as a human being. At what point do they lose their human rights?
This is actually a legit question. According to general laws, it would probably be technically illegal to kill zombies if they dont meet the criteria to be declared dead (which is stupid but the oblivious, naive and stupid would take that view). Practically.... any country or force who would try to arrest people for killing zombies in the early days of a zombie apocalypse would quickly collapse like a house of cards in a tornado.
Why would people obessed with cats(cat holics) care? Plus you can always pretend to commit suicide and have the cops shoot you to prevent you from suicide
When they pose definite mortal danger to normal people. I mean normal people become criminal and deserve to be locked up within period in hope for correctional behavior or worse within lifetime or capital punishment. So if the zombie want to eat people brains up and there's nothing can be done so they stop through diplomacy then peace is not an option. If they only want to politely invited you to their tea party to have some tea and signing some dodgy agreement about letting them stay within your lands so they can start their colony for their kingdom across the Atlantic ocean then you can't be violent with them.
I should shoot them in the joints or legs and explosives(like car and gazoline tank) around them, that will make zombies immobile. Shooting them in head and hope it's headshot is too good to be true because I'm not properly trained marksmanship nor I have that kind of luck. Just stockpile foods, find bunker and wait for summer till those zombies dried out.
In the case of a zombie apocalypse, I doubt the law system will be properly functional to the point they can claim it's illegal to kill zomzoms~
But what about if the zombie wear monocle and top hats, enjoys tea party and invite you for one ? We can be civil with them in that case no ? I mean they may be plotting to eat your brain and colonize your hometowns but when they come up to you unarmed offering a handshake what else we can do than shake those stinky, dried, and naily hands ? We are supposed to be the civil ones ! What else left to us when we can't be civil !? At that point we're no different than those zombies !
Do you get civil when children knock on your door and ask trick or treat? Because I don't, I think it's very rude to try threatening me into giving them candy just because of a calendar date, I always shut the door without answering them. Sometimes civility isn't the right answer~
